It's funny how your almost never born atheist, you become atheist. I personally think the whole religion thing is far fetched. Why cant we just be dead after we die? Why does there HAVE to be an afterlife? Dont get me wrong i respect others decisions, I just don't believe in it, who's with me? I'm going to be some grass fertilizer one day And home to some maggots + worms.
But look at the Holocaust the Natizes kill millions of innocent people,in the name of atheism, just because they were "inferior".
I believe in God because God is just and true.
Also, science is full of theories about how the universe started, so there is a lot of ambiguity in there as well. Not to say that all science is a lie, just a lot of it doesn't add up to good.
you have to ACT like a Christian, according to the Bible, not according to one's own set of ethics.
You might want to re-read the Bible, because the 'Christian ethics' displayed therein are quite often atrocious.
Really? That's odd, because Hitler was Catholic, and believed he was doing God's work by eliminating the Jews. Furthermore, he was a member of the Catholic church, in good standing, until his death. Also, as part of the Nazi uniform, they wore belt buckles and often also pins inscribed with "Gott mit uns" (God with us).Where does it say anywhere that God approved of his acts? The catholic church has ALWAYS been corrupt and really nowadays uses God as a scapegoat for wrongdoing.
Murdering millions and wiping two cities completely out of existence for not following his teachings, yep, that's just.Considering that God specifically said that those cities were performing evil and unnecessary acts, and considering that God WAS asked to spare any innocent people, yeah, he had the right to destroy them...

of course it just. And since god knows the future (i. e. what jesus says in the last supper) it was also just to create them, knowing he would have to annihilate them.
I thought that god was letting us our 'free will'. Good example, really. That was the Old Testament and those laws were not established at that point. Considering that science also kills lifeforms through natural selection, I don't see what point you are trying to make.
What about all innocent lifeforms that were killed in the flood, was that also just?
of course it just. And since god knows the future (i. e. what jesus says in the last supper) it was also just to create them, knowing he would have to annihilate them.Yes he did create them to annihilate them... But he did it to demonstrate how evil would be punished...
Man I sure am glad he is watching over us.. pfft. Sooner or later he is going to wipe us out just to prove that he can, sweet.
Yes he did create them to annihilate them... But he did it to demonstrate how evil would be punished...
How about creating us directly with the awareness that evil will be punished? It would be much easier.Easier, but haven't we already made that conjecture ourselves? C'mon we don't need things like that spoonfeeded to us....

the logical gymnastics you are making are rather amusing.Never did I say that atheists are evil. That was some other guy. To be honest, most are knowledgeable, and are very good people. I have no problem with anyone being atheist other than the fact that they've tossed God out of their lives. And btw, many atheists on this website use "mental gymnastics" as well.
First off, With Hitler being Catholic, we kinda showed your whole Athiests are ebil attack to be full of nonsense.
It's the difference between letting your cat die in it's sleep and setting it on fire. There is a huge freaking difference between the two.If that cat is possessed by the devil, wouldn't you burn it?
The evil he created in the first place. Kinda like setting your house on fire and then putting it out to show everyone the proper way to put out a fire.Nice creativity within your examples. I do not see how you are ignorant enough to not get what I am trying to say. He created them to show evil's eventual downfall. Putting out a house fire you started just to show some clutz how to do it is completely idiotic. People back in the day did not know God's power like we do nowadays, so an example was necessary.
