Strong words are words that affect you, affect how you behave, think, so what is a word that you see to be a "strong word".
Give one or multiple words that you consider to be a strong word(s) and why you think that this word is so powerful
They can be negative, or positive.

Hate
an obvious strong word, it strikes fear into people. It can grow into violence and it spreads like a virus.

Love
another obvious strong word, people use it nowadays all willy nilly. But people don't understand the power it has, if you tell someone that you love them, they completely trust you. If you take that love away, it can crush a person into doing radical things. Vice versa, love can be used as a weapon, have you ever been ask or told by your parents "Why don't you love us?", that is them using natural instinct to protect themselves from losing you (going back to the ability to crush a person)

Please try not to reuse a word. Come up with your own (no "what he said&quot. Or i suppose, if you have a different view on a certain word, please feel free to express it. Also don't spam this one word answers.

I completely disagree with what you said about hate. "Hate" doesn't spread fear, and the word itself doesn't cause violence nor spread, unless maybe it's said about you.
The only time the word "hate" is strong is when it's used about other people, and even then not always. I mean, it's not like you'll be scared or get violent because someone says "I hate broccoli".

Personally, I don't really think a word can be "strong". In both of your examples, what was strong was the emotion that caused them, and those emotions would be just as effective even if they weren't expressed in words. Knowing someone hates you is just as bad even if the word never was spoken.

"It is not the word that carries power, but the meaning behind the word; that could contain all the power in the world."
-Can't remember

It has a nice sound to it (the above), but I don't believe it. Neither does "actions speak louder than words". This is because it can be completely true, and it can be completely false depending on situation, the person, the setting etc.

i agree with love. but it really depends on the person when you talk about hate. unlike love which isnt used daily and for just anyone some people say the word hate without really thinking about it. even a friend who loses at something just sais i hate you but he doesnt really mean it. i believe that hate is a really strong word and i really dont use it at all except for things i truly believe are false. in the end any words "strength" is depended on the person that uses it. so for me it can be words like these: love, hate, sad, happy. i guess these are the only words i think about right now.

I think stupid is a strong word. The reason I think stupid is a strong word is all the others are overused so they tend to become weak and not many people you the word stupid. I don't think hate is even close to a strong word because people who use it never use it strongly so the word is never strong in my point of veiw.

In the begining I thought it was a strong word but it's too overused, right now I just like the sound of it and how it feels to say it it's kindsa like a clicking sound and i like it lol.

Hmm, I have to disagree about love and hate being strong words. I say I love my wife, but I also say I love potato chips. I say I hate America, but I also say I hate it when The Simpsons aren't on when they're supposed to be. Both words have relatively light meaning.

i kind of tried to explain that on my post but ididnt do a really good job XD. it depends on the person. for the other things you just said like the potatoe chips and the simpsons i use the words dislike and like. this is why hate and love are strong for me. because i barely use them

Exactly, thebluerabbit. Words are stronger the less they are used. I use love and hate a lot (, my wife/potato chip/America/The Simpsons example,), so they have little meaning to me. I can't even think of any words that I find to be strong.

I consider this matter subject to interpretation. Due to the simplicity of the words and how they're taken for granted around me, I don't use the word "hate" to describe what it means. I don't use "love" often either.

C*nt is the only one I won't use in public. I personally am not bothered by it because a word is a word but this one seems to offend the most.

The portuguese word for "B*tch" (puta). I think it's very strong and i don't like hearing.
