I have always wondered, does typing with proper grammar (hope that's spelled right) appeal more to people? 1. typin lik this is rly fun bucuz i like it like this
2. I type with proper grammar because that's the right way to do it so I don't look like a slob.
Wtf? I dnt no wat ur talkin about. Mybe u shud talk liek this.
In all seriousness, I understand why people talk/type like that when they text, but taking that anywhere else is not good. Seriously, did they pass the first grade? That's what I wonder whenever I see that outside of texting.
Typing and spelling write, are two of the things most people should be learning in school. If your gonna talk to people online you might as well do it right. Not liek tis =D
I sometimes type lik dis for fun or to sound casual not to actualy save time. But when people are actualy trying to say somethin important or serious it's annoying.
I really do hate when people type all wierd. Some people on facebook type like this : dis is how itypen i lyk it dis wey. Honestly I think those people are eaither lazy..or dumb.
I have always used my best grammar, whether texting or posting in forums. It doesn't do you much good to just throw out those English classes. I have never liked writing with ommitted vowels, replaced consonants, and switched vowels in diphthongs; however, I will use lol and such as interjections.
On another note, teenage girls are not good at texting with grammar, punctuation and spelling, lol.
I personally use proper grammar and correct spelling when I'm typing or texting people, but I understand that a lot of people don't because it is much quicker to use shortcuts.
I think that proper grammar is better as long as you don't over obsess about it and correct people if they put your instead of you're and stuff like that.
English is not my first language but I try to write with proper language when I can. And people that write the things all wrong are annoying to me. I rarely use poor grammar, I only use it when I am in a chat room or something like that.
I personally use proper grammar and correct spelling when I'm typing or texting people, but I understand that a lot of people don't because it is much two seconds quicker to use shortcuts.
