AG3 will have this ability, but we won't build it into AG2.
AG2, as it stands, is pretty much "feature frozen" ... that is, not much will change unless we find a major problem with how the web site works. Any new suggestions or requests to add/change something will be considered for AG3 instead.

We used to have it on AG2, but it became very "expensive" (took too many computer resources to manage) so we removed it.
AG3 won't have the red/green dot next to players like AG2 used to have, but you'll be able to see an activity stream of what your friends are doing on the site, so if you see an activity message like this:
Cormyn started playing Exit Path 20 seconds ago
... then you'll know I'm online right now. If you see an older message like:
Cormyn started playing Exit Path 20 hours ago
... then chances are good that I'm not on the site any longer.
