There is a 99.9% chance you haven't heard of this game, well that's because I'm making it. I didn't really know where to post this, so I decided to put it here. I just wanted to talk about this game a bit cause its a very big project (considering I'm 15 and only have 2 friends helping).

First I'll say a little bit about myself. My name is Alec Spillman, and I'm 15 years old. I live in Katy, Texas. I've been scripting for a few years now, and I use Actionscript 2.0, and I use Alligator Flash Designer as my program. School is making it difficult to actually start on the game, but I do have pages of planning, and I'm currently working on a small-scale civilization game called City Civilization that I plan on finishing by the end of my school year (June 4th-ish). I absolutely love RPGs, Oblivion, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, Kingdom Hearts, I love them all, and I think some of my experiences has worn off into some of the concepts I'm going to use in this game.

Now on to the game itself. The Chapters of Eldraux is actually 3 games that spans a few hundred years, the first game is the one I'm going to focus on, for it's the one I've planned for the most. The game is called The Chapters of Eldraux Part 1: Into the Darkness. It's a fantasy RPG that takes place on the continent Eldraux, split into 4 nations: Noktron, Sheinra, Nekro, and Saul, each represents darkness, light, death, and light, respectively. Each nation has about 3-4 towns, a few landforms, and a forest. In the first game, you try to bring a corrupt king out of power who has convinced the opposing nations (dark and light, death and life) to go to war with each other, gaining simple pleasure from the fighting. His island, called Binektraul, is sealed off by a special door that can only be opened by 4 relics that represent each nation. But the king put each relic into its opposite nation (the dark relic into Sheinra, death relic into Saul, etc) in hopes that the extreme environments would destroy each relic. A special group known as the Liberators have been trying to bring the king down, though many attempts have come back unsuccessful. You play the main character, and you've are 19 years old, and you joined the Liberators at age 12, you believe you can stop the king. You go to each country, searching for the relics and have to get each one to open the door to the king's island to put a stop to him.

This game I hope to implement many new features that RPG's haven't used before, such features include:
- A level up system that lets the player decide what he/she
will choose, it will feature 41 classes split into
strength, magic, range, and speed. The character can level up
to level 50, and every 10 levels you can go up a tier, first
starting as a peasant, which is a neutral class, then you can
can choose which direction you want to go. Higher classes
allow for more complex classes, such as the mixing of strength
and magic, or speed and range, etc.
- Fully customizable weapons and armor that you choose what you
want. For the weapons, you choose handle type (regular,
fingered, or shielded),
handle material (wood, iron, diamond, etc),
blade type (dagger, longsword, axe, etc),
blade material (wood, iron, diamond, etc)
, and extras to add things like fire damage, extra damage, or
a mix of both.
For armor, you choose armor type (chainmail, scale, platemail,
etc),
armor origin (dwarven, elven, human, etc),
and armor material (wood, iron, diamond, etc)
- A great battle system that is very diverse. Battle is in a
turn-based system, and each class has 4 regular moves that cost
magic to use, and a specialization that uses all magic and
takes a long time to reload, but is very powerful. That makes
5 moves per 41 classes, making 205 different magic moves.
Strength characters focus more on being tanks and use their
moves to dish out damage and shield themselves from damage.
Magic characters focus on the arcane to deal elemental damage,
take down enemy magic resistances, make their own resistances
go up, and to heal themselves and depleting the health of their
enemies.
Speed characters use fast, quick moves to stun and cripple the
enemy, speed themselves up, allowing themselves to attack more
per turn, making their chances of dodging higher, or making
their chances of getting critical hits higher.
Range characters use poison and strength to
deteriorate the enemy, and use a balanced system of strength
and defense. A good starting class for beginners.
There is going to be much more in the game, but I haven't gotten around to planning the whole game yet. I may update this frequently on how the game is coming, but only if you guys want it. I strive to make this game really in depth, I want it to have many side quests and much replay value. If the game gets popular enough, I've already made a little bit of plans for 2 sequels, The Chapters of Eldraux Part 2: Revenge of the Scattered (yes I know about the Transformers movie with a similar name, but that's just a coincidence), and The Chapters of Eldraux Part 3: The Final Stand. If you guys want to know more about those game, or if you want to know about my civilization game, just say so and I'll make another post about the other games. If you read all of this I thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you're just as excited as I am about this game. As for a release date, I hope to get it started at the beginning of my summer break and finish by the end (about August 20th). Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
