Here's the game. It's on the front page, but there's a quick link to it.
Have any of you played the game yet? What'd you think of the game?
I think the game is wonderful in gameplay. It's also very addicting, just shooting the Zombies. But that's not all, the game does get difficult as you progress. I also like the story line of it and the eerie music used to add suspense.
What weapons & infantry did you guys use?
When I first played the game I picked out all American Infantry since they are cheap and I could just get a lot of them, that was a mistake. Since they couldn't really kill many Zombies as you progress so having many of them is just horrible. It got me through a few waves, but at around seven; I just got obliterated by the Zombie arsenal.
How far into the game did you guys get to?
Well, I'm replaying the game right now to correct my mistakes and hopefully get farther than what I did last time.
This is one of the best games on the site. Placement of your soldiers is more critical than which soldiers you choose. They are all about the same. Much of the game outcome is determined upon your shooting ability. 10/10. Waiting for part 2!
I already have you half of my advice. I avoided American infantrymen from the beginning, sticking with Frenchies, Krauts and both flavors of MG'ers. As for the game itself, I thought the storyline was unusual. The game needs more polish.

I never place my soldiers. I just find it easier to put them at random then have me place them.

Heh. The soldiers basically did all the work towards the end because I had 20 of them, but in the beginning, yes. You do have to be able to shoot those Zombies dead on.
Well, this time around I did what knight said last night, avoided the American Infantrymen and stuck with the others'. Also, I would sell them off to get the MG's. I had 7 German MG's and 7 American ones once I got all my stuff together. Then I had three German Infantrymen & three British Infantrymen.
I ended up with a score of 144,575 once I got finished with the game, unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to purchase the Thompson.
About... 4 waves before the last wave, I got the Thompson and from there used all excess money towards units, buying the biggest artillery for the fatties. By the end i'd say i was just buying units for the heck of it, though it did lag me.... had about 5-6 German MG's, 10 German infantry and 1 American MG for lulz.
Found it pretty interesting, there isn't really anything new here though. Played it on the day it came out and beat it first go, not boasting or anything but it wasn't very difficult for me. I went with a wide spread of infantry and then steadily sold them off to replace with MGs, I barely used artillery at all, mostly because I plain forgot, but it didn't seem to make a huge difference.
I will always say what I meant to say: shooting games are extremely overrated and not attractive and especially those with zombies in them because I simply wonder why humanity's obsession with zombies grow every day...
The game developers who make these games seriously need to switch to a new theme but I guess these kind of games are always a hit no matter how simplistic or just plain bad the storyline, design, and quality are with respect to the gameplay itself. Yes, you just continue to shoot and shoot in every campaign with no actual variety and hence this greatly lacks replay value and even survival mode gets extremely repetitive just a few times in.
But I guess those looking for a challenge could always go back to finish the challenge missions which I find are exactly like the main campaign except simply at harder difficulty.
I would just use the mortar to kill them off. It didn't take much, I thought if they were that big it would've been harder to kill those Zombies, but it wasn't. However, in one wave, the game sent about ten of them at once towards me and I almost lost, luckily that's when I had the MG'ers out. That and the mortars helped with defeating them.

why i bought 3 or 4 artillery, so i can call them all in if i need it.
The mortars make the game too easy. I only used them when the fat blob Zombies were sent out. I only had three artillery my second time around, first time playing the game I didn't even bother with all that.
The guns you could shoot were good, and I liked having many options, but really the only one that I used for the last 1/2-1/3 of the game was the Springfield. Never bothered to buy the Thompson since it had half the damage and looked like it would be a machine gun. You get a lot more mileage in the game out of headshots so a more powerful gun seemed better.
Troop management was average. I used a fairly specific pattern, alternating in a sense between MGs and Infantry. It seems like a pretty big mistake to not try to arrange your units. You get the option, why waste it? I used by the end 10 German Infantry, 6 German MGs, and 4 American MGs. Honestly, by the end of the game I was pretty much covering the flanks and letting them kill almost everything. I had to step in and help a lot, but I didn't lose very many guys by the end of the game. I would have liked a better explanation of rate of fire for soldiers. For guns, lower numbers = faster, but for soldiers I think higher numbers = faster.
Artillery was sort of superfluous. By the end, I was making up excuses to use it. It definitely comes in handy from time to time, but having 6 different options seems a bit much. Also, I would have liked it if they artillery had been hotkeyed rather than having to click it then fire it. That slowed things down pretty significantly sometimes.
I would also have liked to see some more variation in scenery and zombie types. They vary enough, but would have liked more. Probably not a game I'll replay anytime soon.

I was a bit disappointed in that department. The scenery didn't change much through the game. I only noticed that the maps got brighter and darker then maybe added a few extra things to the background, but nothing much that'll catch someone's eye. Also, the Zombies were a tad easy to kill. Only took a few shots from the starter gun then about two from an upgraded one.
