i dont know if theres a topic of this before but its been a while sense i made my own so this is what i thought of what do you think of companys coming out with updated games that has more unlockables and stuff (like how theres so many street fighters of the same game) and updated versions of the same consol like theres always coming out with thinner models and in the nintendo ds they came out with smaller then the dsi then a bigger version do you think that people who bought the previous model should get some kind of discount if there was some proof of purchase of the previous game/model?
I don't see a real purpose of making the game console slimmer, except that it makes it more appealing to the buyers & it's lighter.
But, with updated consoles. Do you mean how these consoles function and the features of each?
I don't really like them, it's basically a computer that you play games on your television with. I enjoyed playing on the PS2 & Xbox more than I do while on the PS3 & Xbox 360. Also, I still have my PS2 & Xbox after ALL these years. I still play them, not often though. But when I did play them, I played them a lot. With these updated consoles, they break after 1-3 years of use. If your updated console last longer than that, then you are one lucky fellow.
I notice when they do make the consoles slimmer, they are updated with some kind of new feature[s]. So I don't think that the costumers should get any kind of discount for that. They pay for the new updated console.
Updating consoles to make them lighter is just plain pointless. If your traveling with the console it's probably in a suitcase and you wouldn't care about a few extra inches of room or a few less pounds. Though i may be wrong, didn't the slim fix some problems with the old Xbox's and remove the red LED lights in the power button?
With updating games, i think Nintendo just releases two pokemon games to make more money, then they releases another that combines the last two to make more money.
Master, Pokemon is SO easy to code it probably takes the company a month to make a pokemon game.
I'm not sure how you know that but even if it is, it still takes months to make art (they probably do use most art from the last game), balance the game, create dialog, and more stuff that goes into game development thats not programming.
