The Yankees have 27 world series. They will get a 28th this year. Who is your favorite player on the team? And if you are not a Yankees fan, what team do you go for?

I can't believe the Yankees lost against the Red Sox at fenway. But then they won the last game against them. Hopefully they win the rest of the games in this series.

but yeah im a HUGE Yankee fan
really upset that they lost the first game but the 4 homers in the next make up for it!
my favorite players are
Derek Jeter, A-rod, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and before he retired Andy Pedit

Lakers

I am a New Yorker, but I hate the knicks, because they always suck. They are doing pretty good this year though.

I really should have named this General Baseball discussion, but whatever. What is your favorite player in the history of baseball? To start off, my favorite is Babe Ruth. Number 2 for me would be Lou Gehrig.

Babe Ruth is unsurpassable - he had the best HR / AB ratio of any player in history. And he was a great pitcher, too.

Unfortunately Lou Gehrig's career was cut short by his namesake disease.
