ok so modern warfare 3 will be coming out soon, we all know this so post any and everything you know about it like the release dates and whats systems it is for. pretty much anything that is the slightest bit related to MW3 you can post here cauz everyone wants two know about it.
It's gunna be a basic release - Q4 release to compete with the other Q4 juggernauts (Skyrim, Battlefield 3), prolly gonna be the next best-selling piece of entertainment of all time. But what's new is the developer.
Infinity Ward and Activision have had such a quarrel that Infinity has been taken off Modern Warfare. Raven Software, the developers of failed titles such as the new Turok, the new Wolfenstien, and Quake 4, have teamed up with Sledgehammer, an Activision-Blizzard Subsidiary.
So what does this mean for MW3? the worst i fear. Ah well. We had fun while it lasted Price.

No, I want every thread related to CoD to die in a fire.

For a while, I feel Starcraft II or League of Legends is better.
Modern Warfare 3 will probably slope further downhill, Black Ops seemed to revert to CoD4's ways, and then they caved, and it sucked systematically anyway. Meanwhile Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 are not under the spotlight, one is out, and it is incredibly unique and fun because of the Nanosuit. The other? Dude, I can take down a 7 story building.

Omg. you, sir, are right. Black ops was like CoD 4, i regret buying it. but Battlefield 3, is a win, and im buying that. crysis 2, doesnt seem like my type of game.... but im prolly gonna get MW3 too... idk why... ima CoD kinda guy.
Are you sure it's coming out at all? Last i checked activision doesn't own the rights to the game anymore.
*Facepalm*

Wait, what? Black Ops wasn't like CoD4, that was the problem. CoD4 was basic, it was balanced, and it had the best system management compared to MW2 or Black Ops, and on top of that it had mods. Promod, being the biggest one used in major league competitions for Call of Duty. MW2 was unbalanced, rediculous overall, lacking dedicated servers, and a good playerbase. Black Ops had a bad system, the same playerbase and ultimately changed when QS was re-introduced to its "otential".
I wasted £35 on Black Ops, you know how many hours I've played? 109 Hours. I've had it since 2010. You wanna know how many hours I've played Starcraft II? I don't know, the quality of entertainment, the quality of mods, the quality of the playerbase itself takes the cake. It is outstanding and it is actually made for competition and not for money.
Don't give me bull about CoD not being in it for the money. 1 Game every year, different people making it? And? They introduce 1-2 little things new to it. Battlefield 2 had maximum class varients. Battlefield Bad Company went the other way but with destructible ground. Battlefield BC2 wasn't a full effort - and that was with the leader of DICE admitting it I believe.
Oh and even then BFBC2 > Black Ops / Modern Warfare 2.
I think they've taken the "Modern Warfare" series as far as they can go. They killed off everyone in MW2, so there is no more storyline. I'm tired of the same old shooters where you go and blast everything without some kind of character development. There really ought to be storylines in more shooter games. Modern warfare has somewhat of a storyline, Black Ops has, IMO, a great storyline, but they need to know how to develop a story rather than a mindless shooter. Hell, Left 4 dead has more story than CoD
Actually, the only thing I'm interested in is the campaign. I want to see how they wrap the Modern Warfare series up.
Ok if I was the storymaker of MW3 I would make this:
ACT 1 - Cambridge The Story continues with Soap, Price and Nikolai after they kill Shepherd. Price will die few missions after the beginning of the game, and now the two-man army are Soap and Nikolai (you play as Soap). A Sniper Assassin named Sgt. Cambridge (like Ghost(MW2) or Gaz(MW1)) joins you with his few fellow troop soldiers. You fight in Afghanistan and some Civil Wars in USA and Mexico. Sgt. Cambridge kills Nikolai due to an argument, and after that you discover that Cambridge is after something seeking your help, then betray you after that. Cambridge escapes to Europe and you chase him all the way there. Then you chase him again all the way to Russia via Ground. You find Nikolai's brother Boris there, he helps you to kill Cambridge, so you track him down in Novosibirsk and you kill him there.
ACT 2 - Prison Break Right after you kill Cambridge, you are arrested by the remaining forces of Shepherd. Boris is also arrested as he is seen as your assistant, and you are scheduled for an execution. Soap and Boris then try many ways to escape from the prison. After a very long and hard thinking they are outside the gates, but now it gets harder, they stealthily kill two guards and grab their guns to aid them on their escape. They know that the new leader of Shepherd's army is Shepherd's cousin...Vance "Waltz" Morisson. Soap and Boris escape from the prison successfully while rescuing other prisoners on their way to help them later.
ACT 3 - Revolt The Prisoners find a hidden safe house. They arrange everything there and they got a new weapons, it's time to go back near the Prison in Novosibirsk and take out Waltz. Waltz escapes to Alaska, and now Alaska is the main battlefield. Through snowy areas, Soap, Boris and the army also go in Alaska but their plane crashes from freezing. They are stuck there and must find and kill Waltz. The Final battle...many of the prisoners who were rescued die. Boris also dies and you are the only remaining hero now, you find Waltz and you meet alone head-to-head. Waltz quickly aims at Soap's head and Soap is forced to drop down all his weapons. Waltz then tries to shoot him but...the gun is jammed. A quick reaction is on Soap, he quickly takes a gun from the ground and kills Waltz...
Care to catch me up on what happened in that court case?
Well.. It's definitely coming out, I'm sure. The main part is simply that you didn't know - it's MW3 thread and often questions about the game being real wouldn't be here. Wikipedia has the info.

Best FPS story I know of? Crysis. Crysis 2's presentation was fantastic, in every way of the word. Graphics, uniqueness, story, weapons, feel, everything.

That's already too CoD'ish. It's a stupid thing to chase someone trying to betray you when he just left you alone, and it's too convenient to have an unmentioned brother help you after your friend was killed over a simple thing as an argument. Why go so high-profile?
They know that the new leader of Shepherd's army is Shepherd's cousin...Vance "Waltz" Morisson.
Too convenient yet again. Shepherd died, it would be hard to find that out and ultimately remaining forces are focused on fending off the Russians.
Through snowy areas, Soap, Boris and the army also go in Alaska but their plane crashes from freezing.
Too convenient yet again. Let it be shot down or something, that gives a reason for soldiers to come for you. You also need to spice it up, perhaps you have terrible aim from an arm wound?
The Final battle...many of the prisoners who were rescued die. Boris also dies and you are the only remaining hero now,

WAY too convenient. Have Soap shaking from cold with a sniper aiming at Waltz, ready to take a shot till an enemy sneaks up and stabs your already wounded arm, you shoot the sniper and it takes off 2 fingers from Waltz, and also breaks his gun. You immediately throw the soldier off the cliff / rubble, w/e and then you are forced to confront him head on. He goes to shoot you through rage but it as, as said, broke. You both engage head on and he manages to take the knife and you bleed out slowly. That gives you 30 seconds to kill him. Unique enough?
We've played 1 good and 3 bad games which i mean to ; bad games : black ops and world and modern warfare 2 and 1 good game cod 3 i think that modern warfare is going to be a beast of a game because they know what faults they made in the past and there are going to look after that But COD FTW !
I'm sure that it'll have a four-six hour campaign mode then the online gameplay will be tweaked a little. Something that I would like for them to do is to take more time in making these games instead of releasing them every single year. Take some time to make the story longer and more complex.

Wasnt MW2 like MW1? In MW1, the final mission was a chase between you and the last enemy with jeeps on the groundroad, in MW2 it was the same, the only change was boats....

Q.Q That is waaaay to similar to the the ending of MW2
i think that MW3 will have better multi-player maps kinda like first strike being more interactive i also hope that the campaign will be even better than black ops. i also agree that there should be some sort of story line not like 1 guy shoots another guy, then he gets revenge on the guy who shot him by killing everyone and then him. i also hope they do something new with the zombies kauz to be honest that`s getting kinda boring
