With all the talk about 2012, I tohught I would but my 3 cents in.

Australia nad that region are a day ahead of the rest of the world.
So if the world were to end on the decicive date of 12/21/12, would Australia end first?

I was actually thinking about this earlier today.

Worst case scenario: Australia gets shot off the map and....well, if it does turn out to be the end of the world after all, pretty much anything is the worst case scenario.

If 2012 was real, probably yes. I can imagine an all engulfing flame burning the land as the new day unfolds.

2012 is pretty much just a polar shift. (I believe it will be magnetic, but this is going along with the popular belief.) The entire world inverting itself would be universal; Australia wouldn't be the first to be destroyed.

No. What will happen on 2012 is a that the sharks and the turtles will finally rebel against the world and kill all the humans.

i dont know i think it would wait to happen till every place hits midnight for 2012 even if someplaces where all ready 11pm cause if it starts to happen in australia then it wouldnt be much like 2012/21/12 ir would be more like 2012/11/11 for everyone else

I am ahead of Australia by two hours, thank you very much. If you go with what you're saying, people in places like Fiji that are just west of the International Date Line will suffer first. However, it's not like a universal cataclysm with the power to bring human civilization to its knees will be dictated by our notions of time.

This thread is about 12/21/12 and the time differences between parts of the world. Do comment on that.

In the movie 2012 Australia wasn't even mentioned. SO we were the ones completely safe going "those poor *******s.............who's winning the game? Did we score?"
