A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line
seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes withone syllable. Rhyming is optional.

Here are the rules:
1)Your poems must be original. (No plagarizing)!
2)Your poem must be made specially for this thread. (No taking your old work!)
3)Your poem must fit the weeks theme.
4)Your poem must be submitted by the deadline.
5)You may only submit one poem.
6)Sorry you can't win two weeks in a row. (but you can still submit!)

If this thread gets popular, then maybe the winner could get a merit.
The deadline will usually be on friday, which in tis case is April 6th

This weeks winner, will have the opportunity to be a judge. If they do not want to, then I will ask second place, and ect.

Start posting your poetry!

Yes Matrix, you can.
Tacky doesn't want to judge so SupaLegit will take her place, and I need one more judge. Please post if you so want to judge. but you must have experience in the AMW section. Thanks for all the Contestants, I ill give much more feedback this time.

I'll be a judge, I suppose.
Do I even need to explain my contribution to the AMW? >,>

No Moon, it is pretty obvious.
Ok Moon and Legit will be the other two judges. We all post like a normal judge, but the top three will be given a certain amount of points for each position. When all he points add up, the winner will be chosen.

It would be nice to know how much points was awarded for each placing e.g 1st is 5 points 2nd is 3 points 3rd is 1 point or did I not understand what you mean?

I don't think Moon's going to be able to judge - she's on vacation and hasn't been on the site in a few days.

Ok here we go....

3rd place is.... GhostOfMatrix!

Your liveliness brings me enjoyment,
Time with you is gratifying,
When I'm with you, I'm happy.
Your smile makes me cheerful,
I am lighthearted.
Without you here,
I'm depressed.
I lose,
Strength.

Graceful in the beginning and depressing towards the end, really a great way to write a poem. Congrats Matrix, you well deserved 3rd place.

Second place is.......LivingToDie!

Happiness pouring out of our hearts,
Melting into the bliss of life,
No evil within our souls,
Everything is perfect,
Joyous people around,
Nobody depressed
Throughout the world,
Smiles of warmth,
The joy
Spreads.

Great poem. Instead of the expression on someone's face, you got deep and into the soul and heart, which most writers may not be able to do. Great poem, you as-well deserved to be in the top three.

And first place is...... TackyCrazyTNT!

Your smiling face is my only bliss.
Your heart is my secret treasure.
A grin from you lights my world.
As long as I'm with you,
Nothing can hurt me.
And I will smile,
I will laugh.
You're my
joy.

Amazing poem, your writing once again was beautiful. You really grasped the theme and created a poem that was marvelous. The beginning was very deep, and the ending was a simple cherry that topped it off only to make it better. Tacky, you stood out far from the other poems this week, and you very well deserve first place. Here you go, you get a Captain medal for being Uber awesome Tacky, Matrix and Living.

It was hard to choose second and third, almost got Legit in there......
Anyway, the next deadline will be May 10th and the theme is, lets go with a fun one, CRAZY MAN EATING FLESH ADDICT ZOMBIES.

Next week Tacky and Legit will join in on the judging.

There was a Zombies theme for the Tanka contest a week or tow ago...

Moon is on vacation, I don't know when she'll be back, so I don't think that she can judge.

Ooooh, I like this theme.
Also, I've never gotten first place in any poetry contest, so that's pretty awesome. Everyone's Nonets were excellent.
I know I can't win twice in a row, but I do enjoy music, so I'll post one anyways.

The pounding notes and pulsing rhythm
Beat in time with my racing heart.
Melodies string through my ears
My soul raises in song.
I live in music
I lose myself
Dancing songs
In my
world.

City music

Talking people, racing cars, street noise.
No sound better than city voice!
Dirt, stone, ash and smelly smoke.
Sexy ladies and blokes.
The clamor! The din!
I love that kin,
of music.
Urban.
Moar!
