http://venturebeat.com/2011/04/05/is-another-black-ops-map-pack-coming-may-3/ If you didn't know The second DLC pack for Black Ops has been leaked(Link above) And I thought about posting this in another Black Ops thread, but I thought this would be more fun. =P
ohhhhhh ok doc.funk i get it when u said BF u ment battle field ooooooooooo see thats why i didn`t get it i thought u were saying before and i was like before what? and i don`t play pc and i didn`t take offense to being a CoD player
but i mean come on there is not much u can really buy in the gameing world for 15 dollars so when u two find a better deal tell me
$15 games instead of $15 for a few extra maps? Let's see here, I have a list....
But since you insist: Back in my day, when you bought the game with your money, you had everything in that cartridge. There was none of this junk called "expansion packs" and "download content", or this "ay to play". You would buy the game, knowing full well 100% of what the developers wanted was in the cartridge. And then you would drive home in your Plymouth, down 5 miles when you passed the candy store, up 12 inches of snow, listening to Metallica (when it was good), and you would come home and pop in the cartridge in the Ye Olde Supra Nintendo and play it. Everything was in that cartridge; there were no "extra stuff" the developers would hold back, because the Internet wasn't developed up to this point. Really, the $15 you bought, or planned to buy with, is going to:
1) 200 lines of code and a few sub-classes of a parent class called "Map" 2) Textures and meshes that are already in the graphics system of the game, just rearranged differently to form a different map 3) Expenses the developers already have plenty of money to cover
Sorry, old man rant. It just bugs me when the developers hold back on maps and then give it out for extra compensation. I mean, the game was already released so early. The least they could do, on top of making a different game, was provide all their ideas at once.
but it may be all in the cartrige but then once u beat that certant game thats it with the downloads u get something new to add to ur game. or if u don`t want it don`t buy it. it is a choice after all the thing i am wondering if u guys hate CoD so much and think downloads r stupid then why did u reply to this thread?
back on topic i can not wait for this download! its gona be so cool! but they could have given the zombie thing a better name than survival
@DoctorFunk Say you were a HUGE fan of Japanese Anime comics, and they release a addition to you favorite series that cost 15 bucks when the original series cost $60? If you don't like Black Ops thats your opinion, and I would play COD 4 but IW SUCKS at map design, and I would personally pay $15 bucks just for the new Zombie map. So either be considerate or GTFO.
I agree and disagree at the same time. It has logic, you know it is stupid to pay 15 $ for some maps. But that won't stop people from buying =/
How do you think they pay the employees who make the maps? It takes time and effort, so it's either 15 bucks occasionally to get new maps, or you get them all free as they come out and pay $150 for the game when it comes out, your choice.
On Achievement Horse its maps made in forge, its for fun, you don't develop the game and maps, not to mention most of them look crappy. Actual developers take REAL time and effort to make maps, forge is, like I said earlier, for fun. And just like with the $15 dollars for the map pack, if it was 30 bucks i would buy it if I had the extra money.
