Gothic 4 has already been released. Precise dates can be found on Wikipedia[/url, as usual.

To keep my personal opinion brief, I think Oblivion is still a better game. FYI, Gothic 4 was not developed by the same people as previous three games. Due to dispute over the rights on the name, the publishers, JoWood kept the rights on further development of Gothic series - while Pyranha Bytes, the original devs, are currently working on Risen 2.

they are not released in every coutry thought...
i live in Ireland, and the game is to come out somewhere in the middle of MAY ...
but from my opinion, i always liked Gothic games much more

Ah, that clears things up. I've spent a few hours in Gothic I, but that's nowhere near those hundreds I've put into Oblivion (PC version). I own copies of Gothic I-III games, however, so I'm certain I'll give them another go sometime.

Have you tried Risen?

i havnt played Risen yet no, is it a RPG oblivion like yea ?

my personal favourite is by far Gothic 3, the amount of hours iv spend on it on PC was unreal..
but then eventually got bored of it so iv stopped playing it, and since then never played it again, and that was quite a few years ago
i dont really like oblivion that much, i dont know there is something in that game that i dont like but i dont know what it is...

Many say that Risen is, in fact, the true sequel to Gothic series. The setting and storyline are both different (although still set in a medieval-fantasy world). It felt... rather familiar when I played it.

Both Risen and Arcania have PC demos available. You should give them a try and make your own conclusions, if possible.
