This is the ULTIMATE discussion for animal lovers! This is for all animal lovers regardless of how much you know. If you know a lot, PLEASE feel free to be a know it all (respectfully of course) and if you want to learn about an animal, ask anybody who posts here.

I am glad to answer any question as best I can!

I may even ask some myself. If you know a lot about an animal and are dying to say a little known fact, just blab it out. I don't want any hesitation on correcting others, as long as it's a discussion, not and arguement and that it is done correctly with good sportsmanship.
If you want to state a random fact while there is a specific topc being discussed then just do this:

Did you know...

Did you know...

That the giraff's closest living relative is the okapi, which shares the unique characteristic of having a blue, prehensile tongue?

Where do animals go when they die?

Depends on the animal, some are probably used for their fur others for their meat, some both.

I don't know aboutt their spirit. Some religions coover that, but their organic molecules are almost instantly scattered by through consumption, diffusion, and other outside forces. So, in that sense, everywhere.

Did you know that dogs actually can see a small amount of colours? Nor is their vision literally black and white. Shades of gray and yellows are what's seen mostly.

They also can see trace amounts of blue under certain circumstances. Like if it is a certain shade next to a contrasting color if the blue area is large enough.

Here's something to get you started. And remember look at the citations on wiki rather then wiki itself.

Fun fact on parrots. While their brains aren't nearly as developed, like a humans brain most of a parrots brain is actually devoted to cognitive behavior rather then instinctual.

In intelligence, less than average I guess. Very ignorant but with potential.

MageGrayWolf, is there an expansion on what the source means by "instinctual" behaviour? I'd be interested to know.
