Have you ever played a game and thought "this sucks"? I definitely have. (Shift comes to mind... Hated that game) When you finished the game and found out that it was only one in a series of 2, 3, or even more and though "WHAT!?"? I still have. Which series should be eliminated or changed?

That's about personal preferance, I happened to like that series. It has a great concept. If everyone had the same opinion, then this thread would work but since the fact of the matter is that not everyone is going to agree on the same thing. so if game developers want to make a sequal, it will apeaal some people and not to others.

For example the video game Two Worlds was a huge fail in just about every way, and I'm sure most people would agree that it didn't deserve a sequel. However, there is a sequel, and it's actually quite good.

If someone makes a game, and it isn't a huge success, then he's sure to learn from his mistakes, and maybe then the sequel can correct what was bad in the first one. Besides, doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?

Fancy Pants was one of the worst games ive ever played, it has no objective and the sequal was even worse. It did not even deserve the sequal.

i can only think about fancy pants. i really dont know why i didnt like it. i usually love those kind of games but it felt empty apart from that. most games ive played that have sequels are good (not counting non flash games)

Well don't "deserve" might be too harsh of a word. Keep in mind that pretty much 95% of Flash games are made with basically zero budget so it's really the developers choice if they decide to make sequels. And if you don't like them.....just make your own ;P

Now if we apply this question to commercial games......yes there are some games that frankly shouldn't have sequels but since this is the flash game board I won't elaborate much on this point

@KentyBK
Unfortunately I attempted the "Flash Game Biz" and it came out to be a disaster. I submitted a game to Kongregate (Didn't know 'bout AG then!) and it was a train wreck. As I've mentioned before, programmers have their work cut out for them.
