If it's a very common question then I'm sure one of the stickies could answer the question, you can also go onto a Moderators profile to ask them a question. But if you must, create a thread about it and someone shall soon answer you.
@Paarfam: If you think that your question will be quickly answered on the forums then make a thread about it. Also, if the question is generally about something on the site and you want to ask it publicly then ask. There are people around the site willing to answer. From the Support and Suggestions description: Need help with the site? Have a suggestion? Post it here.
If the question is more personal and you want it to be private, then use the contact button to contact AG about something wrong with your account, something around the site or anything else that you want to be privately discussed.
...And questions on the forums are going to be answered more quickly. I'm sure many users around the site use the contact button everyday and AG has to go through all of them which'll take some time to do.
