I played a game on the new games section. I looked at the comments, and i saw this.

This is rediculus (sp) and there was a lot of similar posts below it. That is the reason i stopped trying to get new portraits. the community is now filled with 1/8 of us as actually posting thoughtful comments, and the rest is just spamming.
My suggestion. MORE MODERATORS.
I would probably even come back to armorgames and post actual replies instead of just playing games if i didnt see people spam there way ahead of me in AP.
Flagging comments doesn't do anything except send a message to the admins, who are very busy and do not like to be disturbed for silly reasons such as spam.
The mods will get around to it. Just give them some time and they'll delete those ridiculous comments. You did the right thing by reporting it.

Justin (jroyster22) checks them often and deletes the spam and abusive comments.

There aren't many people on this site that qualify for that position.
I'll have to agree with you, over these past few weeks I've been noticing an increase of spam in the forums and it's getting really irritating seeing it everywhere. But, I flag the spam comments and if there is too much spam in a particular thread then I'll report it to a Moderator.
What is that gonna solve? Did you ever notice that little red flag at the right of ALL comments and ALL forum posts? Click the flag to flag the post. If you don't do that, the moderators don't known whats spame unless you let them know. How do you let them know? Flag the post or comment or whatever it is.
Are you seriously asking that? More Moderators = more people able to go through the forums and delete spam, and in games as well. But, AG Administrators choose the Moderators for the site, and the current Moderators have to be unanimous in agreeing to let the person join the team. There are also some requirements to become one, but that's in another thread.

Only the Administrators can see flagged comments. Moderators are able to determine what spam is and delete them, but don't see it when users flag comments and posts.
I hope you flagged the comment, and that it, and others of its ilk are quickly deleted.
They are not quickly deleted... and I have even written down some of the oldest of spam comments, and found that paper recently, and saw that they were still their. (i was curious on how long it takes admins/mods to delete those kinds of posts.)
The thing is, if you go to that users profile, he was even spamming his profile a few times, and if you look through comments on almost any game, half of them say "good" or "9/10" which also just makes me rage. I have been here for a pretty long time, and I worked hard posting actual reviews to get merrits and what not, but seeing people spam their way past me just made me quit trying, and I just want it to get fixed.

Eight Moderators and 2,000+ games on the site and they also have to keep track of the forums. That's a very difficult thing to do seeing that it takes a Moderator some minutes to clean out one game on the site checking all the spam comments and looking for comments that deserve a merit.
The best thing to do is to simply flag comments then go on your merry way.
Cormyn has made a tool that deletes spam comments, I think he runs it every few days. Don't really know, you'll have to ask him.

No, I completly understand that it is impossible to go through every game, every day and get all the spam out. And also, I do think that they do a pretty good job. But, i was just making a point that having more would make it easier.
