Atleast the part about quality since you can't really argue with the number of exclusives (which is of course a definite number).
A random Wiki search tells me that the PS3 has around 183 and the 360 around 209 games. That list also seems to include Download-only exclusives, as well as Kinect/Move games.
But I really don't see the point in comparing "features" and "rice points". Just make a list of games you want and see if that price is worth it for you. That's what a game console is for right?
Btw guys there's no reason to list the "incredible" exclusives for either console if he isn't interested in them. You sound like viral marketers at times xD

Then you should go through everything about these two consoles comparing the hardware, software, features, etc. . Covering everything about it before you make up your mind purchasing one.
I say, look at the games each one has, whichever has the games you want to play is the one you want to get right?

The ONLY thing I honestly see worth comparing between consoles (apart from the obvious) is the offered online services, since once again, those are actually based on games (I'm mainly talking about stuff like the Virtual Console and XBLA, online Multiplayer is really more dependant on the game itself instead of the console).
But once you get down to comparing hardware specs, it all feels like fanboy rants to me.
Even comparing stuff like Bluray feels kind of silly. I mean sure I get the point of it all, but from my experience I never end up using it. Why would I buy a PS3 for Bluray if dedicated BLuray players are much cheaper? Why would I put music on a PSP when I could easily use an MP3 player, which is also easier to carry around? Who needs cameras on a DS (Especially since I hear the cameras are horrible anyway)? It just feels like gimmicky things that are added to make all the tech-obsessed people buy it.
Compare the games and all other things the console offers that improves playing those games or gives you more possible games to buy.
Look at the price and if you think the price is worth it.....go for it. If not, buy the other console.

No. You would purchase the one that's worth purchasing and you think will last longer.

It's a bonus, and it also enhances the graphics. Of course you buy the console for gaming, but this is a nice bonus so that you don't have to purchase a blu-ray player. You can just watch movies on your PS3 and play games.

I'd suggest a PS3 over a 360. There are many great looking exclusives for the PS3, and the Xbox seems to be lacking in that field. You should try to find which exclusives you might be interested in for each system and go from there, keeping in mind that the PS3's online service is totally free.

Having had both I highly recommend the PS3. It is more expensive, but it is by far a better quality machine. The data storage, both in the unit and on the discs, is greater, the video quality is equal to or better than any other next-gen console and the hardware is really dang near impossible to ruin. You don't have to worry about overheating, crashing, or it scratching your discs.
The online feature is free, unlike the subscription required to even access xBox live, and the community is equally as numerous.
Really the only downside is that you will miss out on the early proprietary titles, like Halo, however the console specific titles for xBox seem to be going by the wayside as the publishers recognize that there is too big of a market in PS3 owners to be overlooked.
to be honest that is a hard question u see becuase yes i picked an xbox 360 elite over a ps3 but if u pick xbox u will need to either put it very close to ur computer cause of the wired adapter or fork out for a wired adapter wich is like 30 something quid but with the ps3 its got built in internet connection but like nonamec68 said how important is hd and blueray to you and are you going to listen to music??

The new Xbox 360's have wi-fi already built in. All you need to do is purchase Xbox Live and connect to the Internet.

HD and blu-ray make the sound and graphics better on the console. Also makes it excellent to watch movies on, but that's not what a gaming console is for, it's just a nice bonus.
