This isn't a new feature or a way to keep spammers out of here, but a slight thread change.
I have noticed a lot of stickies have been made in different sections, like the AG v3 forum. There are like ten stickies all about "Ideas and Discussions About:". Why not just have on sticky that has links to all those threads instead?
Or, WEPR? An "Introduction To:" could be just one sticky.
ORLY? Apparently someone hasn't spent any time working with forums, especially one as large and hectic as this one. Seriously, if I reorganized everything by myself I'd probably be looking at close to 4 hours per day for a week. And that's IF people stopped posting and making a general mess of things that whole time. It's really a lot more work than you think to modify and keep up with a forum.

Umm, let's see. Their is spam to clean up, necro'd threads to lock,people to be said hi to and moving threads that are placed in the wrong section. Can you do that Kevin?
Anyways, I don't agree with most of the people here, except for a few. Well for one, mrwalker's job isn't easy. Also, I agree with what Matrix said about not being able to find all the linked stickies, in one main sticky would be super hard to find what you're looking for, since we don't really have a search.

Because they change. The threads and therefore their links would need to be updated before a single link amalgamating all the sources would be valid.
We've (by which I mean moderators other than myself) actually been working on a single-stop source for the most common enquiries and issues. However:

Is a major concern of mine. It makes me doubt that we'd get a sufficient return for the investment required.
That said some tidiness would be nice. Once we figure out what kind of tidy would actually be useful!

That is not what I'm suggesting at all.
All I am suggesting is that we organize the stickies.

Bah. Forgot there is no edit button. But it is still valid. The stickies don't change often and if they do, why can't we just do another one?
