First, i put this in this category because it was the only one that seemed fitting for this. So ive been watching Death note, and if your not familar with Death note its about a student who finds a book and if u write someones name in it and you picture their face in your mind they die. He uses this to kill criminals to make the world a better place...and theres alot more stuff and drama but thats the only important part im interested in explaining.

So what do you think? If such a book existed would it be ok to let somone kill criminals? obviously crime would go down but you cant just let someone kill people like this, it just doesnt seem right. even if it was a government sponsered thing with professionals judging who gets killed....what do you think? what are your thoughts?

I cant but help support the idea of some rogue justice enthusiast killing criminals, BUT obivously i understand its wrong and immoral if this was going on. I just want your thoughts because im not so sure about it. I COMPLETELY understandthat in the end i will realize its wrong, im just curious as to your thoughts. Plz be thoughtful in your response and logical.

Just because Bob decided to kill Jane, doesn't mean that Jeff the Judge can make Bob die.

This implies that you oppose the death penalty even outside of this hypothetical situation.

I think it would be the right thing to do. Besides, you're prolonging the life of a shinigami.

Evil maniacs like caves though....

No evil maniacs live in giant bases in the desert with loads of guards and minions. Honestly haven't you heard of narrative causality.

Well first, happygamer123, I'm glad you've taken the time to look at a movie morally as I have with it. It is a great movie, in its own right, and the morality behind it became very apparent where he kills..

Spoiler by the way.

Where he kills his girlfriend as a test to how nature works with certain parametres in place.

Morally? I don't believe someone has the right to judge. A collective should. Even then, that being said, very few people are morally correct (I myself believe I am, I've spent hours and hours and hours thinking and developing my morality).

Even so, it should not be done under the cover unless completely necessary, in this case? Like the mobster on the other side of the road in the movie, it's not fine, but it is just because there isn't much other way it could've been done.

While you live on this earth, or at least in any country, you have to abide by the rules. They suck yeah, but you still have to.

Wrong. If I have to do something I will do it. In the end if the law says I can't assault someone who's obviously done the same, **** it.

I've the right to defend myself - and not just physically. If someone is harassing me I believe I have the right to warn that I will kick his *** if he persists.

If he does, so be it - if anything I should be punished for not following my own word.
