I love writing Haikus. My best friend taught me how to write them. He said ' It's not that hard. All you have to do is learn.' So I did and I fell in love with them. Here's my first Haiku:
Clear like Crystals It is clear, you know that what some don't know, we do albeit, they will. 03/21/11

That isn't a haiku :/ A haiku has a syllable pattern that goes 5-7-5 That is 2-5-5[/quote] Schmiddy is correct. This is not a haiku. You may want to rewrite it or consider not posting here. There are other poetry threads. This one is exclusively for haikus. Sorry.
After teaching the children to count their way into an haiku...I wanted to get to the gist of an haiku...that sharpened moment of awareness...the stone of the idea sinking into the pond of the mind and sending out ripples of thought...when a butterfly presented itself in class and hover above the head of a student as she struggled with the concept. It was as if her thoughts had materialised above her head...it then flew to her haiku on the white board and fluttered over every word as if it were reading the words with its body...as if each word was a step it took to realisation. It was such a beautiful moment when the world and the world of words came together. BY: Donall Dempsy P.S. Hope you guys liked it
