Hello, and I'd like to introduce you all to:
SCREAMING IN HELL!
No, it isn't another countless metal discussion thing, we take the world's most talented singers and discuss them. I got the idea from Delontossj's (Did I spell that right? If not, sorry) Song Of The Week. I, personally, am a singer of metal, and alternative (Weird combo, huh?).

Today, we'll look at David Drainman, singer for Disturbed. After the release of Asylum David has rose to the top of the "Demonic singers chart" with his wonderful performance doing "Another Way To Die, The Night, Asylum, and Warrior". I think I missed one.

That was basically a practice run for my brand-spankin' thread! I can't guarantee I'll continue, but I think it'd be a great idea. I'd love to work with Delontossj (Spelling again?) because he seems to know quite a bit about music.

Tell me what you think!

If you have any important comments, concerns, or questions, just splat them right on my profile, I check it regularly. Also, if you'd like a part in directing the thread contact me. If you have any ideas for possible upcoming singers/legendary singers for me to do a few paragraphs on splat them here. Thanks and have fun!

Thanks for the input nemo12! Yes, I can scream, very well I'm told, but that's beside the point. Basically, you give me your opinions on whose good and who isn't, we take your opinions into consideration and we tell people whose good and who isn't, and we teach a bit about that good singer. We just look at good singers, that's about it.

Yea I know I finally read through the entire thing. Disturbed's singer is one of my favs btw. I love the way he morphs his voice to the husky kind of voice. Overall, hes really good in my book.

so this is about modern singers? or just about singers in general.

ill ask you about other details on your page but this ones kind of important for people to post suggestions.

but anyways onto the singer. ive always had HUUUGGE respect David. hes an AMAAZING vocalist. im not so sure about the bands lyrical abillity cause im 95% positive that they havent written anything original since 10,000 fists. and even then i dont think they wrote much of there own lyrics.

but regardless, he sings them good and thats what the thread is about. david is always a thumbs up

Today we'll look at Bono, singer for U2. Born in Ireland, this singer has a very different voice than many other singers around the world. He's known for having a very "angelic" voice that corresponds with U2's music. He is involved in several charities including ONE champaign and Product Red. He currently has a wife, Ali Hewson, and has 4 children, one of them is an actor. He was deemed Person Of The Year by Time magazine and has had many other awards.

On this edition of Screaming In Hell, we'll look at Kurt Cobain. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/19/Nirvana_around_1992.jpg/220px-Nirvana_around_1992.jpg
I figured I'd throw in an image this time.

Kurt Cobain was known for being a songwriter and phenomenal singer for the American grunge band Nirvana. No, not Nurvana, but the band that was beginning of grunge music. Cobain was born February 20th, 1967 and lived a rather bad life. During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, illness and depression, his fame and public image, as well as the professional and lifelong personal pressures surrounding himself and his wife, musician Courtney Love. Nirvana created some great music in their day. After signing with major label DGC Records, the band found breakthrough success with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from its second album Nevermind (1991). Following the success of Nevermind, Nirvana was labeled "the flagship band" of Generation X, and Cobain hailed as "the spokesman of a generation". Cobain however was often uncomfortable and frustrated, believing his message and artistic vision to have been misinterpreted by the public, with his personal issues often subject to media attention. He challenged Nirvana's audience with its final studio album In Utero (1993). He was very well-known for creating meaningful lyrics on his own and having a very dry, disgusted voice as he sung. Cobain's tragic death in 1994 resulting in himself shooting himself with a shotgun in his home.

Kurt Cobain is probably one of the best artists that has ever lived. Great choice!

Sorry I'm late, I've been running like 5 threads recently. It gets stressful, anyways...

On this very late edition of Screaming In Hell we'll look at: Maynard James Keenan (born James Herbert Keenan on April 17, 1964) is an American rock singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, winemaker, and actor. Originally from Ohio, Keenan spent his high school and college years in Michigan. After serving in the Army in the early 1980s, he attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1988 to pursue a career in interior design and set construction. He formed the band Tool with Adam Jones shortly thereafter.
Keenan is best known as the lead singer of the multi-platinum rock bands Tool and A Perfect Circle with whom he has released four and three studio albums, respectively. In 2003 he created Puscifer as a side project, financing and releasing its first studio album in October 2007. Since rising to fame, Keenan has been a noted recluse, although he does emerge to support charitable causes.
In addition to his music career, he has performed improvisational stand-up comedy and ventured into acting. He is the current owner of Merkin Vineyards and the associated winery, Caduceus Cellars, and has part ownership of Stronghold Vineyards, all located in Arizona, where he lives. Among other business ventures, he is a partner in the Los Angeles restaurant Cobras & Matadors, and owns a produce market and an organic market in Cornville, Arizona, the latter featuring a tasting room for his wines as well as a food court. James Keenan was born in Ravenna, Ohio, on April 17, 1964, the only child of Judith Marie and Michael Loren Keenan. When his parents divorced in 1968, his father, a high school teacher, moved to Michigan and Keenan would only see him about once a year for the next 12 years. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/23/Maynard_ruisrock2006.jpg/200px-Maynard_ruisrock2006.jpg
I'm sorry, I'll get the rest back to you later, I'm having thread troubles.
