what is being done now is sufficient. in all truthfulness, however, i could care less if libya drifted off into space never to be heard of again (yes i know this isn't possible, but you get the message)
Libya and Egpyt, and Syria and Yemen, what is happening there right now is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. These are all places that have been the sources of new recruits for terrorist cells (including everyones favorite Al Queda, what is happening in these countries with the people overthrowing the government through mostly peaceful methods (exception goes to libya, and Syria) shows potential recruits that there are ways to change their government without blowing themselves the **** up.
What Libya is demonstrating to those same recruits that if you as a people stand up and tell your government you want change, you want democracy, and you want freedom, not only can you achieve change, but the world governments, even the loathed west, will support you. This in itself is awesome the damage it does to terrorist cells, but it also will do great things to advance these countries out of the dark ages. IMO anyhow
I think NATO should deploy ground troops. And I know people would say we would do that for oil but even if we don't go Gadaffi will never get back power so we will probably get oil anyway.
What's happening there scares me a little, mainly because I live in a not-so-far country. I don't want a bomb to explode in front of my house, like what happened to my grandpa. Unfortunately, media aren't giving a lot of information about Libyan conflict... so I think the first thing to do is to inform the people about what is really happening, and why. In my opinion, civilian's safety should be the main goal. Many of them are emigrating... to my country. And we don't know where to put them. We don't want to push them back between a war conflict, but we physically don't have space for all.
I know what you mean. I live in Lebanon I'm scared of going into another conflict with Isreal and the Syrians protesters deciding of doing stuff in my country.
Personaly, I think that the Lebian conflict is a great thing (exept for the part were people get hurt). I mean us Arabs are know finally thinking and getting out of the dark ages. All I have to say to the Lybians is keep on fithing and keep on trying to form a correct democracy.
