Hackers caused PSN to shutdown, but I'm really mad that it has taken Sony, a multi trillion dollar company, 3 (going on 4) DAYS to take care of the problem. That's a fail
By the sounds of this video, it is NOT under control yet because as stated, The PSN system has been hacked strait down to the core.
I would think Sony pretty much has it under control if they're going to put up PSN in a week. And, Sony sent out an e-mail on precautions in case your information gets stolen. Old news.

I don't think so. If Sony even takes back control of PSN in a week that would be an accomplishment. These guys destroyed a lot of data and Sony will need to rebuild them from the ground up. There are no guarantees or promises yet on this situation but it dosent look good.

Well... They didn't really 'destroy' it, they basically copied it. These are things I've heard, so what I'm saying might be complete bull.

All i gotta say is, why didn't we see this coming? i mean after all if it's free it's worth what you paid for it. and yeah i know part of the ps3 payment was for psn but honestly im not that supprised.
it is because last wendesday(4-20-11) somebody/somebodys hacked the network.they are trying to bring it back

hopefully the employee is wrong i have yet to play crysis 2 online yet and its killing me. plus my birthday is in 2 days and im probably ganna get a small HD tv (YAY ) but i wont get to play online with it

The only sourse I will believe is either the head technician for PSN or a spokesperson speaking on his/her behalf.

Due to this outbreak of hackageness, lots of more gamers playing infinity ward games have noticed a lot more hacking going on than normal. Crazy coloured letters saying that so and so was infected by so and so, have been popping up in almost any Cod 4 or MW2 lobby.
Also, I have to say I feel sorry for the gamers with their info being stolen, but the xbox has a paid service to protect things like this from happening.
yeah dudeg, i don't fully trust spokespersons at this time considering the load of **** ps3 is in right now. Anything could be a lie to procrastinate. Rumors i hear from people are just fake, but idc considering i check every day and when i'm playing/watching netflix i check after every show/movie or hourly. i miss psn
meh i gotta be honest, ive had enough proof with all the online topics, and all those websites that take the ps3 and xbox down to its innards to determine which system is truely best, to know that the quality of a ps3 is in fact better than an xbox... So every single person saying xbox is better doesn't know what there talking about and are basically trolling. (lets hope that works)...
Now ill agree it is a preferance, just the hardware overall in the ps3 is truely better, which is the reason I bought it.
This PSN hack thing, i couldn't care really. I dont know why this causes xbox fanboys to go nuts thow. I mean there system fully went own for almost a month and it was like the world ended for them. I just think there upset because ps3 users dont care... There only pissed about the possibility of there credit cards numbers being stolen. I havent lost trust in PSN yet, as this is probably the first major time someone tried/hacked there system. (key word major). So there stripping everything down, and getting a new security system.. If this one fails, I might be a little more dissapointed but really sh't happens...
