As of April 21st, the PlayStation Network has shut down for "maintenance". But many online bloggers, journalists, even some PlayStation workers themselves said that this is NOT routine. On April 20th, an Anonymous hacker (individual or group) took control of the whole network. As of April 21st, Sony took back control and is currently working on an improved security system! Many, if not all of players were not able to log in to their accounts. Even if you go on Playstation.com, you still can't log in. That means no online play, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Contacts, or any further Network related control. As of April 23rd, the G4 website (2nd link) has posted the outage will take an extra few days to make this security branch stronger.

So post any further information, links, and thoughts about the April 2011, PSN shutdown.
