I don't think that there's a halt. When games are submitted, they are only updated every so often, which is why game submission may seem streaky.

I remember some people asking about this when games weren't submitted for two to three weeks. Unlike other sites, games on AG are personally approved by the site. The process roots out the turds, but limits the influx of games for the better.

Take Kongrgeate for example: you have thousands of rubbish games in the background.

I think some others as well, but I could be wrong. I don't pay much attention to it.
