I've been to many forums in the past, and therefore I have extensive knowledge in the pages and systems that might make this forum more convenient and easy to use.
Here are 2 suggestions:
1. A list of threads that have been posted in by the user. - I frequently stumble over the collection of threads that I have posted in, and often lose track of the discussion. That is why I think that each user should have a list of threads he/she has posted in (along with the number of posts in the thread, date of the last post, etc.) along with his/her profile. This will help to reduce confusion.
2. An optional "review" button along with the "submit" button. - This button would allow users to look over their posts with a proofread. That way, users will make less typos when they are making a post.
Seeing that an updated version of the site will be out in a few months; I don't think that they are going to make updates to this current site unless it's absolutely necessary.
