I think we should reduce how many new forums/topics you should make because there are people randomly making topics that are repeating and important topics are being ignored. (I'm talking about the World Reliogion News forums)

Repeating as in duplicates? If so, then you should report it to a Moderator or post the original topic in the thread.

Of course, if a topics a year or two years old then the person has a right to create a new thread for discussion. Even two months old topics shouldn't be revived unless someone makes an epically good post. Threads that are older should be remade.

...And I don't see anything 'important' in that section. All I see in there is religious arguments which doesn't seem important to me. I'd rather see WE threads in there. Which is what is pushing those religious threads down. And I kind of like that, because I don't enjoy seeing ten religious threads in there. :P

This would reduce the amount of threads being made altogether. There would be fewer repeated threads, but that would only be due to the decrease in threads in general.

That would discourage a lot of people from making threads, and we don't want that, now do we?

As big of a deal as that isn't, we have the moderation team to deal with issues like this, and they can be mighty efficient with it if you give them the chance.

"Important" only applies to what's important to the individual user. If a range of topics, i.e. news or religion, is not important to somebody, they'll generally ignore it, and that shouldn't be a problem. Nobody should be forced to read topics they don't care about.

If a thread about what people do on the toilet is more important than why one religion is better than another, that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
