The may be old news, this may be new news, frankly I am unsure. All I know is that America has once more shown me a reason why it's good to be Canadian.
I have learned in America you cannot get what you want without someone stepping on you. There is no such thing as no strings attached. In America you will possibly be smacked in the face a couple dozen times before someone hands you a piece of moldy cake which you'll scarf down and pretend it's the best thing in the entire world. In America the word common is never used before the word sense.
When exactly are you going to stop semi-ontopically ranting like a madman and start actually contributing to your own discussion?
When people get over their over inflated national pride.
Look, I went about the OP the wrong way, I was trying to catch your attention. I apologize, but this isn't about national pride. This is about a law that is disrespecting ordinary men and women who whether or not they risked their lives to save others, were affected healthwise. Many of these people now suffer from serious health disorders simply because they were in the area. To even assume that terrorists had people simply walking around being an ordinary joe is ridiculous. That's what this law does. It assumes something on the grounds of paranoia. And while national security is important, this takes it too far. Sometimes you need to give people the benefit of the doubt and use common sense.
Look, if we want to inspect every person who was at 9/11 to help clean up and rebuild, fine.
I just hope that we Americans realize, that by doing so, we are no better than the terrorists themselves.
Raising fear about the men and women who helped pull us back from the brink by insinuating that they are or were terrorists is a terroristic act in its self. God. Politicians are retarded.

Thank you.
I also propose a new question. Why did it take ten long years for this bill to even come about? Shouldn't this have been out much sooner?
Really? Do you hoestly think the checks are necessary in a situation like this? Do the words "common decency" not apply to our world any more?
I think it's funny that people will make comments like these in support of scanning people who they think are obviously not terrorists. At the same time, people are commenting on scanning only Arabs at the airport, so now the airport has to also scan elderly people who obviously aren't terrorists. I don't think the government can ever be correct.
I'm not saying you were. What I am saying is that no matter what, the government will not be correct because there will be people pissed on both sides of an issue.
