Seems odd that I have to post all the stuff involving sex and/or stuff like that, but duty calls.....

Anyways, Minnesota Republicans announced Tuesday that they are going to be pushing for a State Constitutional Amendment that would ban gay marriage. Not quite sure what they hope to accomplish, rather than pissing off a ton of people and wasting money, but that is America I guess....

Let Minnesota pass this law and see what happens! When all teh gays move out, the population will fall, and minnesota will lose valuable votes for future government elections. When they realize that other states that they're competing with are doing better BECAUSE of not illegalizing gay marriage, then they'll change back. It's all about competition my friend, and even if, i don't trust that source.

Well actually, with all the basically sterile couples gone, I think the population would benefit nicely.

It would initially drop, but have the same birth rate...

So really, the population would just be cut back, and they would lose people in all parts of the work force.

But with homosexuality illegal, less people would choose to be gay, and they would get married and have children. There's the spike.

This isn't news.

Minnesota isn't the first, nor the last.

Thank you bigot. As has been said a bazillion times, homosexuality isn't a choice. Go out and try it, and, here's the thing, "enjoy" it, and then say it's a choice. I have no doubt you could, but you most likely would not like it.

You are wrong Kasic. As wrong as someone who says 2+2 equals five. It is utterly ridiculous to say that somewhere along the line a homosexual gene just happened. So this is me walking away.

Well since you said you're walking away, I guess I won't go into it further.

As for the banning of gay marriage, wasn't it already not allowed?

Well then I guess I'm not done. I'm impressed by your maturity in that regard; I certainly look upon you now in a different light.

Some of the qualities of a homosexual may be genetic but i doubt that you don't have some say in who you like.

Let me tell you how I felt as I was reading your last post Cinna, it's quite amusing...

*Facepalm*

*Double take*

I certainly look upon you now in a different light.

*Re-read sentence*

but i doubt that you don't have some say in who you like.

Like and physical attraction are different. There are a lot of pretty girls that I would be physically attracted to, but do not "like" due to a myriad of things. Of course you choose the qualities, but you don't ever conciously add in "Pretty, tall, a go get em attitude, SAME GENDER* you just automatically associate those qualities.

Who would choose to face the ridicule that being gay leads to?

It might not be genetic though, it could be phycological. It might have something to do with the people you were exposed to as a young child. I guess this would mean its still not your choice though.

People who love someone enough that they don't care.

I have never extensively looked into it, but psycholigical trauma might be one way of it. Oh, if only Freud were here, he always saids the darndest things about these topics...
