Because a figure head and his girlfriend are infinity important.

Perhaps it's just me but I do not understand the fascination with those nor do I think it deserves as much press time as it has been getting; inevitably taking away form other issues.

It's the fact that royalty is marrying someone who is not of royal descendents. It's supposedly been over a 100 years since it's happened (I haven't been up to date with my UK bureaucracy for marriages so someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

Either way it's interesting but not worth waking up early to watch it IMO. Hopefully they have a happy marriage though.

No, it really isn't. Maybe if you're English, but even that may be stretching it. The only reason the media is blowing this up is because they think Japan is to old to talk about. And what about Lybia?

It's okay, no one is going to fault you. No one really cares. Figure heads are not very interesting, the media just got bored.

Oh I know; watched the Lifetime movie with my girlfriend :P

But like Wolf said there are more important events occurring.

How public is this wedding? Do you need an invitation or can anybody with the means of traveling from one place to another, just show up.

I'm probably closer to the bottom, too.

There is already a thread so this'll get locked soon.

As far as I know no one I know will watch it. And I'm English. Since I'm against the monarchy I'm against this on principle but since the Westboro baptists church wanted to do a protest there it made me see it in a slightly better light.
