Yae you missed the plate Armor.

Plate Armor X = Lether Armor X + Plate

X = Helmet, Gloves etc...

Where would I find a wooden shield? I can't find or guess at the combination

I upgraded the wooden shield to a round shield, but it is not letting me add the old knight's memento to it, any clues?

You need to go to the Forge of The Nymphs there you can Craft the Warrior's Shield. This is one of these Crafting Quests.

Thats a Typo, you only need the Old Knights Memento and the Round Shield and its Only possible to combine these in the Nyphms Forge Quest.
