I wanted to make a thread to discuss this topic, because the ban on gay marriage (in most states) is very prejudiced in my opinion. I still have no idea why these horrendous laws are still here, and I hope that they change as soon as possible.

However, this change will probably only happen once the House and Senate are mostly Democratic, because the Republicans would never let this amendment pass. I am not sure when an amendment to the Constitution of this sort will be made. It might be made in 1 year, 10 years, or never.

I myself am not gay/bisexual, but I know 2 or 3 people who are.

Any ideas?

Those laws will go with time, old people die, and just about every person I know [high schoolers and stuff] would promote a removal of such laws.

Yeah, the next generation seems to be much less prejudiced towards gay people. But that might mean up to 20 or 30 years until this law passes.

Yes very true my friend. As the times are changing, the new generation will get onto the new trends. If we ask a young person, he won't be having any with this gay thing.
