darkgamers right, they have a lot of money. it will hurt them (if they lose, has the suit happened yet?) but they wont stop the playstation franchise considering it makes a LOT of money. Sony says that they are giving each user a one million dollar identity theft protection so that should be good IF anyones credit card information was stolen.

This conversation has been wildly rampant and no one got to the simple points of the matter.
First of all as of now although there were quite a few credit card #s stolen, they have been working with the FBI and all major credit card companies being on alert for fraudulent charges, which none have been made so far. Also they don't have any CVS numbers because sony does not ever ask you for that information.
Secondly, why everyone is mad at Sony for this I do not understand. If your friend gets hit by a car and can't cover for your shift the next day do you blame them? **** no, they inconvenienced you, but at the end of the day it's because someone inconvenienced them; for millions upon millions of dollars. You don't get to play your black ops for 3 weeks or you can't play socom online or download new demos! That's so bad, why don't you ask sony to trade places so you can pay out millions upon millions of dollars but then you can force them to turn psn back on!! Cause they are just sleeping waiting for a fun time to turn it back on, it's not like they are working day and night almost nonstop to get psn back online as fast and as safe as possible for the user, along with giving them added gifts and bonuses and nice stuff to say sorry for the outage time.
