Does anyone else think that there should still
be classic rock bands being made?
What happened? In the 80's there were
100's of bands, but now there are like 5 if at all.

because it sucked. people needed music with actual feeling and intelligence. And from the 90s grunge era came exactly that. music didnt have to be about just girls, drugs, and rock n roll anymore. (i hate songs that say Rock n roll in them btw! like seriously? why use the name of your own genre in ur songs? after the first 500 songs i think they phrase had been overused)

oh really, didnt have feeling or intelligence..... hmmmm... have you ever seen a led zeppelin performance, or a santana performance, or a cream performance, or deep purple, or jethro tull? you clearly havent you honestly think your statement is true

i do agree that zeppelin is good. i am more referring to the 80s hair bands, like motley crue, poison, judas priest.

all those bands you listed came out in the 70s dude. The 70s had great music. i ment bands that came out in the 80s lol

the 80's was the decade of punk man. dead kennedys, black flag, minutemen, Fugazi, Bad brains, the circle jerks, husker du, man those bands were all fantastic live from what ive seen anyway.

Rap was also flourished in the 80's. they put some pretty **** good feeling into their music as well

Rap in the 80s was amazing stuff, lil wayne has nothing on those people back then, they were in it for the fun and the music, hes in it for the money and glamour
its become the very thing it was made to be against.

The best rock band played in the 70's. I love band like Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith. Deep Purple was amazing too!

Listen to cover bands. They usually do a pretty good job.

Marilyn Manson was wrong rock isn't dead. (for people who don't know him he's a rock artist with a song called rock is dead)
A few populair rock bands:
-System of a Down
-Marylin Manson
-Rise Against
-Rage against the Machine
-Muse ( I personally don't like muse)
-Radiohead (Personally don't like this band as well)
-Tool (don't like that one either p.s. my name is not derived from tool the band but from Tool as in utilities)
-Korn

Some older bands:
-The Misfits
-Agent orange
-Kiss

and many others

you can ask me for more ''Good'' music (depends if you like this kind of music or not)
