When I first heard this song in the movie Earth Girls Are Easy, I was pretty sure it was sung by a female singer. Then I listened to it more closely a few more times, and I discovered that the lead singer sounds like somewhat like a young Michael Jackson. Now I can't tell if it's a man or a woman singing.

I've looked up whether this song was sung by a male or a female singer, but unfortunately, both the song and the group are so unknown that I haven't been able to obtain any evidence pointing one way or another.

Can anyone tell me anything about this song?

Have you ever heard a Skylit Drive? They have a Male Singer that sounds like a girl.

The lyrics could go either way but the voice has a slight masculine tendency to it when i hear it.

After some close examinations, I'm starting to think more and more that this is a man singing. Since Michael Jackson was popular around this time (although he was not a kid when this song came out), it's very likely that the singer was trying to sound like him.

I neglected to mention that the credit for this song was given to Stephen Bray & Royalty. The only thing that's keeping me not entirely convinced of the gender of this singer is that I don't know if Stephen Bray is singing. I've never heard of an instance in which he sang in one of the songs he wrote, so I don't know if this is him singing or someone from Royalty.
