I have looked at the community, and everywhere I look, on every 2 pages, or every page, there is almost always a something versus cod. Why is that? Is it because it is such a good game? Who knows, pls explain if you can.

That is a good question you present. Being a COD fan, I would like to know the same thing!

My theory is that it's a popular game, an unoriginal thread thought, and people generally like more than one shooter. So they decide to compare the two games that they like, and don't even bother to think there might already be a thread like it. Which results in 200000 Cod vs threads.

That is impossible because there are only 9,330 threads in the Video Games Section.

Is it because it is such a good game?

I think you could've cut this part out, this is, in my opinon at first - wrong. And secondly it implies that we're jealous or something. The only thing I'm jealous of is how much the CoD developers can slack and still be paid big time.

Hit registration, lag, balance issues - all apparent in each CoD game, there are perks which are still in Black Ops that were widely hated in CoD4 and / or MW2. Why? Ignorance to the community.

Meanwhile people are exciting themselves for the all-new all-****** sequel of Call of Duty, bringing in new geurilla weapons which truly show the art of war.

Right...

It would be fine if they fixed the technical issues and balance - then it would be halirious if they stepped up their game and added humor to their unrealistic game, instead of attempting to portray it to be how war is made. Why?

Do NOT tell me it is realistic, the guns, the regenerating HP, the fact that you're this significant awesomesauce who picks all the enemies off and that your allies do cover fire.
Add humor to that, it's better.

Other than that, it's alright to sit back and kill people in a relaxed fashion, but seriously? TOO MUCH vs CoD? It's the other way around imo.

It's not even that I blame the developers - it appears that they don't really care about the quality and wqhy should they? They get paid, they're still the spotlight of FPS games (or all games).

Battlefield is the better as it lacks pretty much all of these issues (or at least, lacks a significant extent of said issues), has amazing teamwork balance, fun maps, strategic thinking, vehicles, destructible ground (thus the need for adaption) and furthermore SKILL to play this game to its full potential.

Which results in 200000 Cod vs threads.

That. And I've been ripping on CoD since MW2 on threads already made. People will probably continuing making CoD threads and it's something we have to deal with.

How about we ban any thread name using "CoD, Call of Duty" and etc? One letter differences also won't count. It would help, I hope. :>

Call of Duty is the most popular video game franchise out right now. Of course, a majority of the community has their opinions, predictions, and videos, to share with the rest of the CoD community...

btw... As I've stated before... the last 4 CoD's may have been good, but they were all the same game, improvement-wise. Just take a look at my "Why I Fear For Modern Warfare 3" thread if you want some light shed on the subject of future CoD

Highfire, that is your opinion, in my opinion it is people comparing everything to cod, yes there are some unrealistic things aobut the game, but all games are starting to get unrealistic. Find one game, that has been made in the past few years that isnt unrealistic, if you do find one that is realistic, then kudos, but if not then you have proved my point.

Which was?

I am NOT looking for a realistic game. I am combating a common argument which is that it is realistic. I don't care if it's realistic - but if it isn't and it is SEVERELY UNBALANCED then why bother buying?

Also, one game?
Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Crysis 2.
Halo Reach.
All realistic in one way or another.

Oh.
Mass Effect 2.

Highfire, that is your opinion, in my opinion it is people comparing everything to cod,

Comparing where it's due. Why? Look at CoD's popularity and renown, then compare how well it is made compared to other games baring less than half of that.

CoD is one of the most popular games... Simple
people want to compare cod a very well known game to other games to see how it matches up and if it is a better game

Nice song btw. But i am looking for a game that plays nice and has variaty (how to spell this) of player, not like most of the players in COD games everyone uses 1 weapon (UMP45 for COD mw2, Famas for COD BO) and where everyone is sitting in a corner. I mean last week i tried Cod Black Ops on my laptop, so i looked for servers and found one. Hardcore Team Deathmatch, so i joined and every 15 seconds you saw a kill because on the killcam everyone was waiting for a moron who actually moves around the map.

It's because COD is such a good game, that most shooters are compared to it.

CoD games are really famous, so it's got a lot of players.
That means that the more players CoD have, the more haters hate the games(and more fans that love them)

It could also be because the most famous first person shooter game, it's probably CoD, so it's like the reference of the rest of the first preson shooter games. So people compare them with CoD
Easy, right?
