I hope that you will be able to come home soon as soon as we can figure out that the Middle East will always be a cesspool of hatred and violence.
Unless you've traveled to the Middle East, lived there for at least half your life, and met half the families there, don't say anything. You just look plain dumb by stating that comment, not to mention your ignorance. What if I were to state that America is a bunch of lazy, uneducated people who are all morbidly obese? Well, it's not true. So, I DON'T SAY IT.
Being a kin of an immigrant who has traveled to The Great Land, it's not what it's cut out to be. However, if you are hardworking and persevering, you can be anything. I personally love America, some people are very friendly, and I sincerely appreciate that. I love all the opportunities I get with financial aid and such. I also ADORE the educational options they offer me.
However, everything else you mentioned are merely results of having freedom,
Um, maybe I'm wrong, but I never said freedom was bad or that stuff should be censored or stopped just because the government doesn't like it. I'm just pointing out that i some countries, with sometimes, even more freedom, don't do stuff like America does.
If it weren't for 'Murca, we wouldn't have those delicious mcdonald's frozen strawberry lemonade slushie things! God Bless the country that provided an environment wherein those things could be created.
captain is a fairly low ranking officer, and america isnt the country it used to be, dont get me into that here theres a time and a place,(that time being now and that place being on the new perspective thread)
hhhhmmm a country with a cool name, Zimbabwe Field Marshall Zimbabwe, doesnt really have the smae ring to it
The best thing about America is fairly low taxes. If you're lucky enough to make it, you can have a pretty nice life. Other than that, the whole freedom thing doesn't really appeal to me that much. Most of your freedoms are negative. Who cares if you can buy guns. Freedom to shoot things, or be shot at. Great. But I'd much rather be able to drink in public, and not have to wait til I was 21 to do so. Or be able to get married if I were gay, etc. Or know that I'd receive a decent amount of help from the government if I fell on hard times.
