As a resident in the U.S. state of Arizona, i am very familiar with the problems, the laws, and also, the effects that Illegal immigration have on my home state.

On April, 23rd 2010, Arizona governor Jan Brewer signed into law, the strictest anti-illegal immigration law in recent history of the United states. The law in laymen terms, means that if you do not have proof of United States Citizenship in Arizona, you will be deported back to Mexico or whatever South American country. The law also states, that if a law enforcement officer suspects someone of being a illegal alien, they are allowed to ask them for sufficient proof of citizenship. The law also contains some other laws that refer to Illegal Immigration, but are not as controversial as the above.

Right now, another very controversial law, which states that anyone born in the United States to parents who are Illegal immigrants, the child is not recognized as a US citizen.

Here is a few things to think about:

1. Illegal Immigrants come the United States and have a kid, the kid is a citizen so they (under some other laws) can stay since their child is a citizen.

2. Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes. Since they are illegal, the IRS has no record of them.

3. Illegal immigrants mooch off of state welfare programs. They get free healthcare, free food stamps, ETC... While this is going on, they are bogging down the states economy by soaking up welfare money, without paying some of it back in the form of taxes.

Give me your opinions on this very, shall we say, "touchy" subject. Please try to refrain from attacking Arizona or Arizona law makers. Please just try to give your opinion.

Any questions about the states condition? Just ask me. More then happy to let you know.

Well, this law will never pass muster. Constitution is clear, if you are born in the US, you are a citizen, and the constitution trumps all state laws.

Actually, there is a loophole that they found, currently it is at the supreme court. We shall see what we shall see.

I think that it's kind of common knowledge to every Mexican now that if they hop over the border and have a kid, they're shoo-ins. It's the number one reason they stick around, and many of these children are in no room to turn into college graduates. I know there are examples of a few that push out from the struggle, and they are astounding people. For the most part, they just add down into a low socioeconomic area.

This, in my opinion, is getting out of hand. I think we would greatly benefit our nation if we solved this issue now. I mean, I'd honestly just consider transferring the army to the southern border, we'd save money from no war and fix the immigration issue flat.

As for the States, I feel they're doing whatever they can but they can't make any serious boundary restrictions. Congress controls interstate commerce, and they do not own a national budget. So I think we need a federal decision.

Another problem to consider, is the (I completely forgot this yesterday) include drug smuggling and human trafficking. These are also contributing heavily to Illegal immigration.
Here is a couple links to read up on.
