I think it was Strop who told me that instead of replying on an old latest reply thread; I should make another.
I don't see a big difference between making a new thread or reply on the old one. It will still be on the first page.

By not making threads you'll save time; because you don't need to make an OP.

@Mod and Admin-squad If you don't want people to necro threads for you; why don't you just lock the threads before someone has replied on it?

There are two things you can do when you reply to an old thread,

1) Necro thread
2) Revive the thread

When you necro a thread, you are answering a question someone asked years ago.

When you revive a thread, you start contributing to a discussion that died. This is okay usually and is generally used when you are reviving your old art thread.

why don't you just lock the threads before someone has replied on it?

I actually do this whenever the front page bugs up and shows one of those "3 months ago" threads.
