America crossed the border with an army, so by defination, we did.

Actually, Wolf is right. American soilders did invade Canada in the War of 1812. Led by General James Wilkinson, a force of 4,000 was repulsed by 180 Canadians. He was so high on alcohol and laudanum, that he probaly didn't notice.

" I would rather be shot than serve under Wilkinson."
-President James Monroe

"The most finished scoundrel that ever lived."
-Virgina Congressman John Randolph

"A Traitor to every cause he embraced."
-Historian Samuel Eliot Morrison

Fun Fact: General James Wilkinson is generally accepted to be the worst US General in the history of the nation.

I still don't see how or why Britain should "apologize". If you think about it, you should thank Britain. If not for your rebelion you may have turned out to be a more peaceful country, like Canada. And peaceful is overrated? Am I right?

I pray to the everything that that is sarcasm, but Britain should apologize to their own people, if they had been able to set up semi autonomous governments like those initially in place in Australia and New Zealand, they could very easily have kept incredibly strong economic ties to the United States and possibly remained the world power to this day

I dunno, after a certain amount of time, an apology isn't really necessary, in fact it just sort of dredges up bad memories.

Want to test this? Get in an argument and don't apologize until a year later, more likely than not, you'll just restart the argument.

Fair logic, i doubt i could remember the argument after that long, i feel that if i didn't want to apologize then why would i now?

an apology would be meaningless the people supposedly apologising would mostly have no idea what their government was apologising for, ost americans probably wouldnt even know or care

while were on the subject of apologies, america and britain have far more people and places to apologise to that are far more recent and meaningful than this would be
