"who like RAP? For my part I am a rapper and I'm from Colombia I like to sing my rhymes I do And with the RAP I criticize a lot to society What do you think?
in america rap has essentially turned to ****. while there are a few good rappers keeping it alive (kanye west, eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Atmosphere, lupe fiasco, outkast), the **** that is out completley outshines the actual good stuff and its, in my oppinion, bull ****.
it PURPOSELY appeals to a low level of thinking audience and im outraged on a daily bases
rap was pretty good a while back (cause i was 8 LOL) the only rap i would even listen to (same as now i wont listen to anyone but) eminem and i only like his old stuff
.....im getting an underline" vibe from this forum so i wont say much, but a song by eminem called syllables speaks to this...... but wats wrong wit a hot beat and catchy hook?
Maybe because A)didnt grow up with it.B)Fell to peer pressure.Or C)Never actually listen to a good rapper.
Nowadays there arent to many of good rappers.I like Eminem and Nicky Minaj and thats about it.Rap fell since early 2000.Before you would talk about where you grew and stuff not always hating on people. Before listening to someone who actually could rap meant learning who they really are.Now its all about who has the best beat and could actually rhyme random words even if they dont make since. With alot of songs now. They are idiotic. They are just rhyming stupid words not making any since because they want to get payed. Its not about the songs its about the money in what your so called"songs"makes after the premiere
Delo, I'm slightly proud of you by that statement above. Now, I for one love rap. I don't give a **** what any of you say about it, you gotta listen to the words and understand the song. People that hate rap are either ignorant fools who only listen to a song because they are simpletons and could care less about any type of message in a song or they are too lazy to understand it. Basically one in the same. There are a ton of great rappers out there, a few have been listed but will we forget B.o.B?
Rap... Well, I suppose it's alright. Some of it, mainly the mainstream stuff designed for idiots, is crap. But, like what Moon said, there is poetic value in it. But of course, there is poetic value in every kind of music. Rap just expresses is, erm, differently... It's like metal. Many pop lovers think of metal as screaming. Well, some of it is, the crappy stuff. But some of it isn't. I'd have to say that Slipknot has some of the best lyrics. Ever hear Snuff? Eargasm, and there isn't even one thing related to screaming.
We all know what you think of Slipknot Del. You must hate Slipknot like I hate the Insane Clown Posse. Here are some better metal lyrics.
Still enough Although I know you're not begging Still as the thoughts running through your mind Still enough Although I know you're not begging Give me a reason to make you mine
I will devour you Take all the pain away I cannot stay my hand From reaching out so that I can Empower you For all eternity It seems to ease my mind To know that you've brought Meaning to my life
Had enough Although I see you're not running Still are the thoughts running through your mind Dead to love The path that you are now taking Show me the reason to make you mine
I will devour you Take all the pain away I cannot stay my hand From reaching out so that I can Empower you For all eternity It seems to ease my mind To know that you've brought Meaning to my life
Run, to where the smallest ray of light will never find you Run, to where you will not need to shield your eyes Run, away from all the soulless, heartless fiends who hound you Run, away and let your memories go blind, when I
Devour you Take all the pain away I cannot stay my hand From reaching out so that I can Empower you For all eternity It seems to ease my mind To know that you've brought Meaning to my life
You must hate Slipknot like I hate the Insane Clown Posse.
lol i hate insane clown posse just as much if not more......
and dude this song is what really did it in for me. i always gave slipknot a fair chance, then when i heard snuff for the first time, that was it for me. that song ruined all hope slipknot had left at having me as a fan. it was the most emo peace of garbage id ever seen
