Is it possible that the lagging problem in colony could ever be fixed?
Some call it "desynchronizing", where one player may be obtaining a view of the game that is completely different from the other players in the game. This can cause problems like: One teams base going down while it is apparently in good health, one teams strong units dying when they appear to be safe from any attack, both teams winning the game.
These are some of the problems i have experienced and have been told that they are to be expected in games such as this one, it being multi-player and even more so for it being in a window.
Now, i understand that there will be desync somewhat and that every unit will not appear in the same place for all players due to "ersonal" lag, but i still do not get why the game acknowledges when our units or bases die, but never acknowledge that they have taken any damage.
There is no way to fix it. It is a problem with flash limitations, but it got noticeable when the smart-fox was implemented.
Yeah, I think, the better the sever, the less lag there will be.
I mean, Endscape does raise a good point with it being due to users as well but most of the time if the lag of a user was to come into consideration on Colony, then it will only be their screen that goes off sync with everyone else (Obviously the null issue makes it noticeable for everyone except the person who got nulled which is a special case and is also due to the server).
I don't think we get host lag issues like in Exit Path or anything either so that can't be a problem.
