I've been doing these typing tests recently to see how accurate and fast I can type, and I've been getting good scores. The reason this thread is here is to see if there are any fast typers out there. So just take the two tests then post your scores. Also, do you use all your fingers when typing? Do you use proper typing technique? If not, then how do you type?

With the speed test, it took me few tries to get the score of 90, first I got 74 words per minute with one mistake. Then I started getting scores into the eighties.

I could probably get around 95-100, but it's difficult typing that accurate and fast with this laptop.

The keys are so close together, but I'll try to get a new score on the speed test later on if anyone beats my score.

I'll do the typing test over again as well if someone beats the score.

One word is standardized as five characters, when it comes to measuring WPM.

I have to beat mine too.

Darn, I haven't been able to get a better score than yours. My highest is 98, can't get higher than that. Just tried it a few minutes ago and I got 91, could be because I'm tired.
37 words per minute.

I can do that with one hand. :P

My speed was 74 for 'Tigers in the Wild' but that was after a few tries. Typically I don't type that fast anyways because my fingers get tired.

The typing test was 401 chars in one minute, this only because of the numbers, i can type faster, but when it comes to dates such as 14 octobre 1650 it takes some time:P

My result with the speed test was: You reached 427 points, so you achieved position 130 of 2919 on the ranking list


You type 544 characters per minute
You have 85 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

Mine is not impressive at all. I type faster when I have no restrictions.

Plasma, that's pretty slow. Have you ever taken a typing class?

I used to type that fast.. once. I think I was ten years old.

I can't seem to type any faster than 90 right now. My hands are tired from all this writing.

Before I started taking typing classes in school, I would type with two fingers. Oh how I'm glad I can type properly now.

I still heavily rely on two fingers to do my typing.. okay, maybe I use more of them than I used to.

@ everybody who saw my score. I took a computer class and we used to warm up by typing but remember these three things. #1 i'm only thirteen

I used to type that fast.. once. I think I was ten years old
#2 I've remembered where all the keys are on a keyboard are but it takes about 15 seconds to recall exactly e=where so I end up looking at the keyboard after every few words where if there are no restrictions I can look at the keyboard and not the screen. #3 a few of the keys are missing on the keyboard. E, R, H and P. I can still type them but I press down hard.

I retook the test a few more times and here are the results. I don't do pictures becausei'm lazy.

22 wpm 0errors
18 wpm 0errors
25 wpm 6errors
29 wpm 1errors

Perhaps I should do something about my typing...
