Hi everyone ! One of the things that I don't like is how there are SO FEW good single player games around. Crysis was the last game I genuinely enjoyed playing offline. So i used to lament this for year after year until I decided to do something about it... I will make my own single player game borrowing elements from games I loved. So enter PROJECT XENOFORGE. It is a Quake 2 style arcade shooter with elements from Halo and Crysis. You play against an alien enemy inspired by the Halo Covenant. To fight them you are given a nanosuit... err I mean powerarmor with features like Maximum Strength, Speed and more. Oh and did I mean it has a gravity gun ? Your powerarmor got a built in gravity gun inspired by the prawn battlesuit from District 9. You can throw around enemies, objects anything you like.

Anyway I am just one guy with no money or professional teams. I could not make photorealistic graphics so I settled for a cartoonish look inspired by LEGO sets. This is what the game looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S36roJ5js6E

My main focus has been brutal enemy AI and diverse gameplay choices. You can see some of my work on the AI here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP8SWLA2y2w . This video shows you how the AI sees and reacts to the world.

I have completed a playable demo of the game lets you play the level I showed off in my youtube video. You can download it from https://sourceforge.net/projects/xenoforge/...es/playtesting/

Xenoforge is still in very active development and uses many placeholder graphics. So if you see something broken please don't mind. I will fix it as soon as possible.

Please play the demo and tell me what you think. You comments and suggestions are very invaluable to a lone developer like me.
