zombieland is the best. its so hilarious with only a few actors. the zombie killing doesn't have a huge part but still in there for a few good action scenes. I would rate it an 8 out of 10, mostly because there were some parts of the movie that were getting boring.
It depends what kind of zombie movie you want to watch. I like shaun of the dead. It's a black comedy. I'd rate it 8/10 because the humor in it's amazing and it's a good take on a zombie movie.
I like Return of the Living Dead. It's a good black comedy. One nice twist in it is the zombies are more indestructible since a shot to the head doesn't do a thing to them. It was also the movie that establish the famous zombie cry for BRAINS! Rating 9/10 I would give it a full 10 but it is a bit dated now.
"I am Legend" is definitely the best zombie-related movie for me.
Why? Two words: Will Smith
Also, you might wanna check out "The Walking Dead". It's not a movie but is really one hell of a zombie-related series and I just can't wait for its Season 2.
My favorites are Quarantine and Dawn of the Dead. Quarantine is basically what a government should do in the event of a zombie disease. CONTAIN IT! Dawn of the Dead is a classic.

Also, I don't get why everyone loves Zombieland. Terrible story and mediocre acting. Its more of a love story than a zombie movie.
The original Night of the Living Dead from '68 is a classic, although if you haven't seen it already I doubt you'd like it (just guessing based on what you said you're looking for). The 1990 remake is a good remake, but the "3-D" remake is crap.
George A. Romero's movies that continue the story line are all pretty good, too. They are (in order) Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, and Survival of the Dead. I think he's working on making two more as well.
I don't care for John Russo's continuation of the story in his Return of the Living Dead series.
I would say i am legend is an incredible zombie movie i would highly suggest it because the plot,special effects and, acting would earn a 4 star rating from me. Also the tv series the walking dead is the best zombie related show ever it earns a ten in all areas
Thanks to all the ideas, I've seen several of them but a few of the older ones, I havent seen, I'll go see if I can find them and get them to watch. I did enjoy Zombieland as well, and I've been meaning to watch the TV show you guys were talking about.
