It's a game making program that requires no coding whatsoever. So you don't have to learn how to code to create a flash game. I think it's interesting because it's simple and easy to use. I downloaded it yesterday and read the tutorials for it, and I must say, it's a good thing for people who want to create flash games, but don't know how to code. I might create a little flash game today, but first I have to figure out what I want to create. Of course you have to move on from this if you want to be a serious developer. I look at Stencyl as training wheels for beginner flash game developers who want to put their ideas into flash games, but have no knowledge in coding. Stencyl.
I just wanted to create this thread to see the different opinions on Stencyl, what discussions can come of this, and if you would like you can post your Stencyl made flash games here for everyone to play.
Do you use it? If you do; can you then submit games later?
I'm trying to create a simple platformer right now. You can submit the games to the Stencyl site, I think you can submit them to AG as well since they are flash made. However, don't think AG will accept them since they very high quality.
