I have been playing video games ever since I was 8 back in 2003, but it never really caught on until i got my first quality game in 2008; God of War 2. Later that year, I got an Xbox 360 and life was good. I've adapted in 7 years from Casual, to competitive, to hardcore, to Achievement Hutner, and now finally, I am a game analyst, taking all the data and news from the current feed of games and their developers floating about the market to craft new predictions and speculations on the future of gaming, and I've never looked back.
Got 75 dollars in birthday money back in '97 when I turned 4. Spent most of it on an N64 with Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64. Over the years I got a lot more (including Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie, StarFox 64 (DO A BARREL ROLL!!!), and Goldeneye). After all these years the system and games still work. The games are still pretty good even by today's standards. You can't beat the classics.
I first started playing video games when I was a kid, about 6 or 7. I usually loved to play GTA3 and other roll playing, free roam games and every sense I have been always interested in gta 4.
I just loved tk get in police cars and roam all around as well as I enjoy shooters alot such as call of duty and use to be really into 007. I have kinda grown out of it but still get on Xbox alot almost every day and just enjoy being apart of the gaming community.
There is something almost primal about mans need to compete, and no matter what walk of life you come from, we are all created equal when it comes to video games. So my reply to you when you ask why video games? Why not!!
I loved the Dreamcast games, the only console my family had when I was 6 or 7. That's when I really started playing Power Stone, Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, and others. Although, I wasn't very good at video games yet.
Then we got a PlayStation2. That's pretty much where my gaming addiction really took off.
