Dude, points aren't really important on this site. The only thing you do with them is to unlock armatars and leader boards sometimes lie. Just be active and the points will come.
Just keep posting on games, rate them, post on the forums, etc.
Like everyone else says, just generally be active. Those people with the tons of Armor Points worked hard to get there, posting on games, rating them, going on the forums, just going on the site when they can. There is no easy way to get points, you can't just get boatloads of them in a short amount of time.
Just keep working for them, and soon enough you'll have quite a lot.
Don't worry about being on the leaderboard. I've looked into it and nearly everyone on there got to that point by spamming useless comments. (Not recommended, it is against the terms of use and you could get banned)
And like they said, the points don't mean much of anything at all.
