I love the weather and have always been interested in it. To me, the creation of incredible storms and the patterns of heat, wind, fronts, and pressure systems in absolutely incredible, especially since many of these things still baffle humans!

I want to know: does anybody share my interest? Any other weather buffs out there? Or, some interesting story or fact about the weather?

Please, share it here!

November isn't a very weather-fun month for me.

What? It would be winter. When do the heavy rains start to hit for you?

Well on my last post I said that I was sad because a storm hovered above me all day. Now I'm paying for it. It's 1:43am and one of the biggest T-storm is happening outside and I can't sleep.

Wow... Perhaps my longest post on this thread so far?

Right now it's barely raining, almost stopped, but it's not quite sunset yet, so the sun's out and there's a nice vibrant rainbow (but only the ends are visible due to some low clouds). Other than that the sky is very blue where there are no clouds and I just looked up and to the south where there was a blue cloud: white at the top, icy light blue in the middle and gray on the bottom. It almost looked like a snowy mountain top.

I love when there are beautiful scenes created by the weather that words cannot completely capture. I'm sure it was much cooler and more beautiful to see than the picture in my head right now!
Here in brazil it's perfect, Like 70 degrees fahrenheit and nice sunny skies. Usually it's super hot here (like 110 degrees) but now it's in the winter where in the morning it gets a little cold (50 degrees) and in the afternoon stays around 70. Thank god it's not summer though, the temperature is brutal (110 degrees like I said earlier). And the minimum in summer is like 80 degrees. Please note that this is in fahrenheit by the way. Obviously since if it was celsius I would be dead XD.

Your winter weather seems quite nice! Though I would miss snow... :P

And, 110 F?! That's really hot! I can't recall if it ever got that warm here, but the heat indices easily make it! Is it humid in Brazil during the summer?

Well, technically, winter doesn't start until December 21...

Anyway, it's like the transition month between fall and winter, and it's too warm for snow, but too cold for a pleasant rain. There isn't really a season for heavy rain here. In the winter, there are sometimes bad snowstorms, but other times it's calm. During the spring there can be blizzards or severe storms and tornadoes, or it could be calm. The summer usually brings severe storms and high heat, but again, there's no guarantee for storms. Finally, the fall tends to be boring, with some storms, but mostly rain showers. And of course, the rain is not guaranteed.

So, really, it's a toss-up for precipitation here.

When? It's a lot cooler there now, but about a week ago the highs were in the low 100's! That must have stunk... D:

Haha, weather karma! I love middle-of-the-night storms! Some of the coolest and most powerful ones I've seen have been at night. Did you enjoy it? :P

Yeah, it was painful. We were at a baseball game a while back there and it was painful. I spent more time inside then out. I was watching the game on the tvs inside lol. And there r places that have it much worse. I think Tennessee and Mississippi have it the worst right now. Hot weather and no beaches :O

Yeah, I hate it when it's just pouring in the middle of night. 1 reason, can't sleep.

Eh...true, but still for me, I get the heavy storms in mid-November. Last Winter, the rain kind of went overboard and some places were flooding. It wasn't severe flooding though. Just insanely wet. And I actually like that. Because I heart the cold. Not too cold though.

It wasn't bad. Maybe just a little bit. Like I said it wasn't severe flooding. The doorway was just wet. Good thing I don't live up in the mountains because at that time, there were a lot of mudslides and people had to evacuate.

The weather was excellent today. It was about seventy degrees and windy, just how I like it. I'm glad it's going into fall soon.

The weather was odd here today: awkwardly hot for a winter day. Temperatures reached the 30 Cs and there was no wind. Air humidity was, somehow, average. Not a SINGLE cloud on the sky.

I wish I had that again. I had that kind of weather on the 4th of July it was the best day to go outside.

Well, here's what the tropics look like (U.S.):

Yeah! Getting into the tropics! I hope everyone from the hurricane-prone areas of the U.S. and countries around the world can stay safe during their respective hurricane seasons!

About my weather!

There's a huge line of storms heading for me! It should be here about 1am CDT (2am AGT)! I'm soooooooooo excited!

Oof! I just got rid of the heat! Don't remind me!
Well for a while it was pretty cool. Then it turned into alot of lightning and thunder which was even cooler after 1:30am it started to get annoying.

My tolerance for storms, even late night storms, seems endless! I love just sitting on my bed and watching.
Last Winter, the rain kind of went overboard and some places were flooding. It wasn't severe flooding though. Just insanely wet. And I actually like that. Because I heart the cold. Not too cold though.

I had a lot of rain last Spring. The Missouri River (which defines most of Iowa's western border) has been rather flooded for a couple months now... Thank goodness I don't live there. D:
About the cold, I don't mind mid 30's F or so. In fact, I sometimes like them, because the air feels cold and fresh. When I take a breath in, my nose just seems to clear... Anything below 20 F though is not nice.
I live in New York, New York ( kind of annoying if you hace to write a letter) and we had like 4 snow days and 8 early dismissals! Right now Im in India. I love snow and rain but not together.

That's one reason why I love snow! The excitement of snow days and early outs... I had only two snow days last year, compared to the seven the year before. :/
The weather was excellent today. It was about seventy degrees and windy, just how I like it. I'm glad it's going into fall soon.

That is just what you described earlier as your perfect weather! It's been wonderful here too. I just got done with band camp. Last year, during the camp, it was almost 100 F... Yuck!
The weather was odd here today: awkwardly hot for a winter day. Temperatures reached the 30 Cs and there was no wind. Air humidity was, somehow, average. Not a SINGLE cloud on the sky.

I hate those days. They're just too boring for me... :P
